Valve's Source 2 Engine

Featured Replies

Just FYI everyone, Valve is working on a Source 2 engine and it was discovered because recently a bunch of DLL files in their recent source engine were updated to include new links and some computer sleuths determined it must be related to a new engine, so some type of new game will be released from them in the near future, probably another Counter Strike. The latest Source engine is getting really long in the tooth, been out for what seems like forever, but when Counter Strike Source came out, it was a really awesome game for its time. One of the best things is that Source games usually have cheaper servers, and servers can even be ran out of a home if the upload is high enough using a Linux server, but the server box and uplink must be high end because Source has always been sensitive to hardware and internet speeds. Pings don't seem to matter for me as much playing BF4, but it was always a concern playing Source. Hopefully they will fix that.
