Hey everyone. TAC is testing ARMA 3. This game is like Battlefield on steroids. It has HUGE maps, it makes Battlefield maps look tiny in comparison. It is a bonafied military simulation. Please consider trying this game out using Steam. You can try it for two hours to see if you like it. If you don't, you can return the game for a full refund. Please visit https://arma3.com/ to get an idea of how ARMA 3 plays. I played it for two hours yesterday. It was a very interesting game. I went through bootcamp and immediately after we were called in to rescue a group of friendlies that came under attack. We had to actually triangulate their position. It took about 4-5 minutes to get there by jeep. Once we were there, we came under small arms fire. We had to clear out the location. It started getting dark out before a transport helicopter came in and lifted us away. All I can say is that the game is very engaging.

I hope everyone decides to try the game out, after all, it is free to test. The Armory has rented a server for one month to get a feel for clan adoption and see if it takes off. Please jump into the teamspeak channel to learn more.

*edit* I forgot to mention, the game is on sale right now on Steam, so if you are interested on trying it out, now is the time.

I have this, and used to play it with some of the SF guys back in the day and we had an ARMA III server too.

Excellent Game for the serious player, Choppers take a steady hand !!  also there is a great mod for it called wasteland, being mercenary's and stuff.

I'm down for ARMA III .

I have owned the premium for over a year now. I was gonna give my Steam account away for free.

Now that this is happening, I don't feel like I wasted the money I spent purchasing ARMA 3 Premium.

However. I have come to realize that I should have waited and purchased the Marksman over the premium.

Takes alot of time to get to know how to play this game. Was fun today.

Yea, the choppers are so difficult to fly! It took like 3-4 minutes to fly Sharp to the objective and I crashed when I got there. I felt really bad because I basically took up a bunch of his time just to crash. I don't feel too bad because Gator crashed with the entire platoon after a long heli ride, no one survived.

I'm glad you didn't give it away, because we enjoy your company in the game.   :klinked:

Love this idea. I have the game and will try to hop on tonight.

I played it before. You need a serious PC to play it on ultra high. Which is what I am aiming for

To play on ultra, yes. If you are willing to sacrifice some GFX quality for fps however, you can get a relatively smooth experience. I am running a GTX 560TI and i5 2550 (yes, I need to upgrade) but I am able to play the game as smoothly as most others - just with lower GFX settings.

I am planning to build a propper computer nyself. Laptop is too risky for that game

Maybe. We have had a few 'pubbers' join and after talking a while they have mentioned they are playing on a laptop. I guess it's personal preference.
