September 6, 20169 yr Hello all, I just want to give input so maybe we can all start playing this game again as I do really enjoy it. We haven't had really many players on our ARMA 3 server, and I feel that's due to players not wanting to do missions and AI gameplay. We have to do something to get people back in. I've been playing on a different ARMA 3 server set up as "wasteland" and I really quite enjoy it! It's a survival type gameplay where you have 3 teams, lots of territories to capture all over the map, and get paid money for capturing and holding points. Now don't get me wrong, I love the missions and everything we have set up for our ARMA server, but I feel like we can set up the server with this gameplay also and have players playing on the server all the time! Btw, the wasteland server is a "NO MOD" server, so there's no way of people having an advantage on you. If anyone hasn't played this "wasteland" and want to learn more about it, just let me know or anyone in the ARMA team speak channel and they will gladly help you and teach you how to play the game, and you will have a lot more fun on it than AI missions!
September 7, 20169 yr One of the mods I would love you play is Zombies and Demons. Nothing beats running around with your friends finding weapons, shooting other players, and having a hoard of zombies chasing you around at the same time! Haha

September 7, 20169 yr Author so play DayZ, not arma 3 DAY-Z isn't good like wasteland. Wasteland is like capture the flag in BF4, but very big, lots of vehicles, guns, money, and drugs. (Jk no drugs)

September 7, 20169 yr Is wasteland like KOTH mode servers? I really enjoy ARMA KOTH. It's similar where there are three teams and have to occupy a city. I just wish we had a TAC fire team together to go and play some ARMA. I agree, I'm not into AI fighting at all.

September 7, 20169 yr I'm already rage quitting on BF1 beta. Most recently was last night. Then joined BF4 and I was on the winning team in .....Oman map for 3/4 of the round. We had all the flags capped for the most part. Got balanced to the losing team. The game ends with 0-700. I rage quit :angry: Time to get back to Arma. I can't think of a time when I rage quit in that game. :smile:

ARMA is a game for serious people who want to play mission seriously, by the book, respecting rules, other players etc etc. I used to play ARMA2 for years in a community of french veteran, military etc etc, so a really serious thing. Sometimes too serious... But the missions was really awesome, there was a leader, some medics, a recon team, a designated pilot, etc etc, everything was calculated. I stopped playing ARMA3 2-3 months ago because i was tired of ppl doing fucking stupid things in the game.. Like take an A-10 and blow the entire town.... "oops, there was an hostage under my 250kg bomb"... Like taking useful helicopter and flying by the AO and being killed by the ennemy AA.... Anyway.. I don't want to see that again.. So, go back on ARMA, 1000x yes, but with that kind of behavior, 1000x no. So, to resume, KOTH is exactly the kind of mission I avoid. For me, ARMA = military infantry simulator with vehicules to help you if you need. That's what i had to say :biggrin:

If you want realism, then join the military. If not, then enjoy the game. Why? Because it's a damn game, and nothing else. Team coordination is cool, and working as a team is enjoyable, but at the end of the day, it's still a damn game, and nothing more... P.S. September 7, 20169 yr Arma 3 is a game. If you want realism, then join the military. If not, then enjoy the game. Why? Because it's a damn game, and nothing else. You can play the game in a "military realism" way and enjoy it at the same time. If your goal is just killing.. Stay on BF or COD, you will have more fun and will kill more. You can do infiltration mission in ARMA3 without being detected or even shooting a single bullet and also having fun. Team coordination is cool, and working as a team is enjoyable How many times we had the team coordination mission ? I think i can count with my fingers on one hand. Most of time we were everyone on the other side of the town trying to find hostages, commander etc etc. And the way the mission was done it was correct we didn't have a lot of choice. That's what we tried to fix with ACS, have a better mission, but since... ACS has health issue and was busy with family, and i found a job, so we let arma on the side. But i can make effort to do some one evening mission if ppl are interested. P.S. And by the way, you were the guy in the A-10 bombing shit all over the place ...lol :biggrin: , so please... Well... There is a difference between destroying every single building in the town and doing a flyby at the beginning of each AO to clean the town by destroying armor vehicle. You know we had issue with managing the number of armor. I am not saying i never did that, just saying it's not my way to play ARMA. Most of time i was doing it, it was to fit the mood on the server, everyone doing shit, so ok... let's go, "have fun" few minutes with planes/helicopter. Or because the mission was glitched so yeah let's blow everything and let's see if the mission will be successful. Anyway, that said, if you guyz want "BF/COD/KOTH/ZOMBIES" style mission, and having in mind just blowing anything that moves, you won't see me.. If you would like something more teamplay, coordinated, serious (and fun :wink: ), I am in :happy:

September 8, 20169 yr I will be there Friday night. Someone should make a post about how to play this mod and be successful. For example, how can I log in and get weapons? Can I get a vehicle? What is the objective? Etc..
