Posted November 7, 20168 yr I made some changes to teamspeak in the battlefield 1 sub channels. (Team 1, Team 2, ect...) When you join, please join one of the team channels and get you squad going. If you leave the game, leave the channel. This way, players will know who to join in game to fill in your squad. The sub channels (Team X) will only allow 5 players in them. Thank you all for your cooperation.
November 11, 20168 yr Author Join the main BF1 channel. Poke players in the other channels and ask them to make a second squad Ask others to join the game. I have moved many times to help players out for the record, same comments were made about team sync. DICE is working on it and hopefully all will be fixed SOON
November 11, 20168 yr We were having problems with people coming in the channels wanting to strike up a casual conversation. It is hard to execute squad tactics while listening to someone yak yak yak about things not related to gameplay. We no longer have TeamSpeak sync, so we have to come up with better ways to discipline the communications. I already have about 3 players permanently muted, because I cannot hear command and direction from any of my squad mates because of the belching, burping, farting. The playing of music or using the voice-activated talk makes it so the listeners hear everything happening in a user's household. If you have a better suggestion, please enlighten us.
November 11, 20168 yr I do like the idea, ESPECIALLY for NON GAME CHAT ( I have had to tell a few pubbers to keep to game chat only, and then in return told to go F myself) however if you are a few people or single player in the other channel, its hard to give enemy positions especially if your are multiple squads on one flag.
November 11, 20168 yr If you want to just communicate with your squad, then yeah go to one of the channels that are squad channels. If you want to talk to your team, join the team channel. If you want to just talk and play join the lobby. Push to talk should be enforced in the team and squad channels. No one should complain if a squad doesn't want to talk with their team, it's their decision. Shouldn't be this hard to do.
November 12, 20168 yr I liked the team alignment, and being able to communicate with my team, not just the squad... Secondly, I just actually like to talk with you guys in general between rounds and what not.. If you end up with someone in the channel that has that running off at the mouth disease, move them out of channel, or simply do as I do, MUTE THEM.. I've got quite a few on my list that are muted, it's a one time click for you (unless you desire to unmute them as some point)...
November 12, 20168 yr Author This is on the honor system. Players were not moving and then arguing like 5 year olds as to who was in the channel first. That is why we added the squad channels and limited them to 5 players. The only way to join is to wait for an empty slot. Also created is team channels. Again this is the honor system. Move if you are not on that team. Best practice is this. join team speak and then find out who has a spot in their squad before you launch the game. join that player to be in their squad through origin on your friends list. Doing this ensures you will stay in that squad when the map changes. We do not have teamsync and we have a lot of players playing. Yes it sucks but we have to make do with what we have. Again, if you leave the game, be respectful and leave the channel so another member can join that squad. If all else fails, admins will just have to do their jobs and move players. It's frustrating guys for all of us. Especially when we all want to be in the same server playing together. Remember this, this game is very squad based, it is always better to play within your squad and worry less about the other squads. Hit "Q" often to spot players for your team. All will be better once we have our own server I promise. With luck, maybe we will get our teamsync plugin back.
November 12, 20168 yr Team Chat first, then Squads if there becomes too many Chatty Kathys in the channel
