Is anyone actively playing it? Looks like a damn fine battlesim from what I've seen but have been told you need a group who has the time / plays regularly to make it worthwhile.

It's a great game, but it is more geared to player vs. bot, however, they do have PvP, but the game gets laggy when that occurs.  There are many of us who have the game, and I am sure we will return to it in the near future.

ARMA 3 is an almost perfect but Gator is right, PVP is laggy. It's such a shame because ARMA is very immersive and seems to be more of a social type game. You can hang around for awhile, let everyone get geared up, all hop in the same vehicle, take a good long road trip the objective, and when it's least expected a huge fight breaks out and there you are trying to take cover and saving your friends. I like the KOTH mode but it can get pretty laggy. I'm hoping we do go back to it in the future and see if we can do something about the PVP lag.

but yeah it's game that need to be play actively, by preference with the same bunch of guyz so you know how they plays and don't get scared about covering each other and shit..

Ok you guys sold me. Dropped the duckets on Game and full DLC bundle yesterday. Will get it installed ASAP. I hear its really involved if to snipe you actually kinda need to a know a little bit about how its actually done. I truly hope so. Thats one thing I absolutly hate about BF but understand. Snipers find a spot and sit there forever and just click click click. I prefer to make a shot if its a kill, move I have gotten lazy and will sometimes stay put for multiple kills but with us having the kill cam on that makes it problematic to stay in a good hidey hole. I hope Arma is the kind of game where you take a shot and if you miss you need to move because the AI will triangulate on you if you don't relocate.
