dunnolol are we any goodcause u know, every clan will be whoring the helicopter beyond belief *gasp* :p !
Because the helicoptor is a very versitile weapon. Capeable of dropping people in remote locations, it can do so much. BUT, you can also take it out with ONE stinger! (or maybe two, I don't know.)
But guys...you have to remember...if they whore it..we whore it...and Its not that hard too...I mean.. Carl and Jasun are very good fighter pilots... Gator is a great BH pilot.. Norm is a great Arty.. Deadroach is a good ground-pounder...Strobes, Socky , [TA]-Me, and Haya are good support. SC Is a greaaat Spec-Ops. I could keep going but the point is , with more practice we could put together a killer squad.
Let them bring those choppers....The can meat my little friend! (I dont miss much with it)I wasnt as pumped up about the FA CAL but I may actually join CAL for DC.
I'm not too einthusiastic about it myself. Experiance has taught me that most the CAL clans are filled with a bunch of egomaniacs with the mentality of a 10 year old. I have absolutely no wish to participate in that kind of battlefield.
A former member of ours, [TA]-Markman got his 1942 clan far into the Chicago area finals. Won! then the next step they got shredded by the first out of the area clan. They (the other clan) were all on a Lan with a T-3 connection could practice together and had tactics like you would not belive so he told me. He was disapointed. They thought they were good until...........I would say no for a while so we can focus on getting other things done that need to be done.We will get shredded no matter what you think. I can say this for good reason. From what I see we struggled in CAL - FA and there are only so many active players. There are some 5,000 people playing some nights in DC. I have even seen over 6000.I do not mean to sound pesimistic but the chances of doing well or just having fun is not too good.I have played on other servers besides ours. There are people that are untouchable in the choppers, jets, tanks, and rpg'ers that hit you like snipers every time. Yeah Sam and others are good but they/us do not stand a chance in CAL. Remember they 9the other people) have been playing for a lot longer. Then there is the practice. We have tried and tried to get people to show up for them. Turnout is good initially, then wains. Then the ones that do not practice show up for matches and expect to play. Yes they are better skilled then the ones that do show up for practice but what about the more dedicated.? Bottom line in my opinion is wait. Get some time/experience and lets see what happens.CAL has left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths here. Are there any other leagues?Might be more fun.

well you gotta hit it while it's strafing really high in the air (at the point where ur unable to see it) and when it's firing missiles at you
Yeah, I agree with what Mac said. He's right about us showing up for practices. And, it's best to hit a chopper in the tail to make it lose control or in the main rotor (some guy was banking to the left and I caught him right on the top with a stinger. The helo didn't blow up but the rotor stopped turning and he crashed and burned  ) Man! I love dropping aircraft. There's just something about it that makes me feel good. :p
It is all about the caps points but everyone wants to do their own thing. The reins just keep going down and down and even the TAC players on your team just run around with out care.It is more about team work and following orders. If the orders are followed then the cap points will be taken care of.The last CAL match in FA I was screaming at the 7 players to get to the Church on Crash. Make sure you config with a claymore. The most I saw there at one time was 3 or 4.I was REALLY mad. I bet half our team had clays. So half my team did not follow orders.I am afraid the same thing will happen here. Now we do have an older DC team as it stands. That may halp.

I play on the server from time to time, and whenever I play I find alot of players (even TAC) instantly gravitate towards the enemy spawn point even when we only own say 1 out of 3 of the cap points...they say "because there's nothing else to do"
You could formulate some real killer tactics for DC. The only problem I see would be getting people to follow them. I have not played in a game where at the very least half of the team wasnt 1) doing their own things, 2) flying around or driving around just to drive/fly, sit in spawn prone in a building waiting for someone to pass by(not so much but still often enough to mension) or whatnot. It just seems to me, that even when a team is getting hammered, that the people on that side will keep doing their thing if it is, or isnt helping a team. Such as, Someone flying a helo that unarmed around the map with no passengers.. Sure its fun but if your team is getting pounded how is this helping? Seriously if you want to just fly around and do stunts and tricks for the heck of it.. or just drive around doing jumps.. play around whatever, you CAN do it on your own game with bots or alone. if you want someone to talk too there is nothing stopping you from staying on ventrillo, i do it alot to practice certin things. Ventrillo is another thing, I like it, i think its great, but sometimes it gets way outta hand. If your sitting in a sweet sniper position or demo position, listening for someone or a tank to come by. and people are just chattering away for no apparent reason it makes it hard to concentrate and that makes you frustrated. I mute many many people often becaulse i cant bear it at times so i can focus on what im doing. Would be so much better if people would make binds to join diffrent channels and divide it up.
Yeah.. I'm not really going to comment on the spawn camping and capping points..because I really don't support much except mass killing when I get a little bird... Unless I get into a ground pounding mode..which is easy to get into with DeadRoach on your team. But yes, following orders, capping points more often.. Heck when there is actually someone giving the orders, I follow them.
Cant you imagine how unstoppable one team would be if we got enough of our players in ventrillo on one side and in that sides room where no one could hear us, and coordinate a battle plan when the other team would be doing normally what they do? If you could get say 10 people on one side with ventrillo and hold 2 key points with 5 people, maybe less, and have enough of a spread (EX: air cover ground cover, AA, AT, ect. ) To where you could easily outmatch a un-orginised team. I can see it happening, its just like NS or a strategey game. You hold key points of a map you win. NS was huge for strategey, if you didnt follow the commanders orders you useaually lost. Alot of times i see a team with alot of potental and i think hey we might just win. Then i see half the team surround a main static spawn and the other half roam around with the other team caps all the points, and before they notice they have allready got so behind they lost. It kinda makes me angry to know you could win so easily with a good team but not enough people will stick together. I notice alot of normal players come in and buddy up with someone and try to work like this.
Not to be smart but dont you think the "Elite or competeing" clans use ventrillo or Roger Wilco?I know they do for a FACT.
I know this mac. Im just saying we have potential. We just need the will.
oh heck no. i know alot of clans that use teamspeak alot in games like this. Maybe ventrillo isnt as wide spread.. but if they didnt use some form of voice instant communications.. I dont see how they would last in CAL vs teams that did. Unless they just had really really really great radio binds.
