June 21, 200421 yr I know in previous releases of Firearms, we would get small 0kb files in your HL file. Oddly enough, mine now have names?! eg. [TBT] Gen_Tigerhawk, or [TK421] B a n e.What's happening? There must be over 100 different names. Can I delete these?
June 21, 200421 yr Well I have one of these files I can't even delete :shock: Windows tells me following thing "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk" anyone has an idea how I could delete it?since that really sucks to have a file you can't delete I keep deleting them every once in a while since they will show up again when you play.[DIAL]Doc
June 21, 200421 yr Create a blank file called "Batchfile.bat" and put in it this:del *.And save it in the HL folder.The other names files with zero bytes can also to be deleted without problems but one tip, you do to have leaved the game else impossible to delete it.I use Total Commander V6.03 (little brother of Window Commander V5.0) instead of Windows Explorer who is fastidous to use it...Egidio.

June 21, 200421 yr weird i seen them too the other day,but if there not hurting anything i think i'll just leave them.sounds like all has them.

June 21, 200421 yr I think everyone gets these. Someone said it was due to a memory leak but I am not sure if that is true or not.

June 21, 200421 yr Yes old bug, still kind of anoying right? I don't mind deleting them from time to time, but would be nice if it got fixed someday :)Also as WSAENOTSOCK pointed out it now is names of players and stuff (in 2.8 it was just garbage) I'm wondering where that stuff comes from? Also I noticed sometimes getting strange extra strings in the Map Message (just before you choose a team) these are most of the time player names and other garbage [DIAL]Doc
