August 25, 200421 yr DC Weapons Bunker, and that one I can't remember the exact name but the one that you can spawn from a big cargo boat. Oh and omaha beach.
August 25, 200421 yr Al Kafji docks I believe is what you're talking about Creep. And as I said, this is the first release. DC did not include all the maps when it was first released. The DC team slowly but surely saw heard what people wanted, and designed maps as such. I believe the PoE team will act the same way.
August 25, 200421 yr I am Gator, and I approve of this message:It's true the vehicles (air, land, and sea) play a major role in all of the Battlefield series such as DC, BFV, and most recently as seen in the debut of PoE, Some maps are more demanding than others, depending on map size, but Infantry troops play a major role in the outcome of the game (win vs. lose). To say that the Infantry (ground troops) has no value is not true at all. In fact, you cannot win a game with vehicles alone.I believe the vehicles are essential elements that make the game challenging and fun to most players. They add a certain flavor and excitement to the game, as well as provide essential elements to create the Big Game? experience as seen in today's modern FPS games. The maps are larger, but they now offer a way to counterattack your opponent without being detected as seen in many of the smaller scaled mapped games like Half-Life. Large scale maps, coupled with the land, sea, and air vehicles, have provided greater challenges to all players by increasing the need for leadership and tactics. They improved player tactics by creating undetectable avenues of approach for increased player maneuverability. Players can now deploy on foot and maneuver around enemy occupied territory to capture objectives (flags) without being seen. This makes for a challenging and exciting game for all to say the least. Players who don't like vehicles in FPS games will typically play other games like Counter-Strike, FA, America's Army, etc. I don't know why they don't like them, but perhaps the vehicles are to overwhelming for them, or maybe they just do not want to take the time to learn how deploy them properly. I don't really know. The Battlefield series is not for everybody, but I would think the average player would find the series an attractive alternative to Firearms, a 6 year old modification of Half-Life.If this were the final release of POE, I would give it a 2. Since this is a first release beta. I will give them a 7. I will also be looking forward to the next release. - This message is sponsored by the committee to elect Battlefield2 as The Armory's primary game of choice.
August 25, 200421 yr - This message is sponsored by the committee to elect Battlefield2 as The Armory's primary game of choice. I second that. To me a game with infantry only is boring. Battlefield brought all types of fighting into one game. It's awesome to fly over a base with a helicoptor, fire some missiles, then bail out and steal one of their tanks doing much damage then exit the tank and kill a few enemies with your M16 and if your lucky find a hummer and make your escape to a fighter jet and live another day.
August 25, 200421 yr I agree with your post Gator. Its just that if you are without a vehicle, you are out of luck. They are very weak and cannot come close to challenging a vehicle in any instance...unless there is a group of soldiers, and then they still have little chance in over coming a vehicle. They need to make maps for this where there are little to no vehicles and the map is brought down to a lower scale.

That's implied, esspecially if code 430 isn't in compliance with the 4th sphere in the fusion brank zone.. Sheesh.

August 26, 200421 yr Welcome to our forums Baba  Yeah, thanks I do like the vehicles, though i'm too lazy to fix my joystick so I can fly. I find I only use the tanks to cap picking off people with the turret mounted MG. The jeeps are fast for moving between points, but more often than not i'm on foot with my sniper rifle or MG. It does upset me a bit that planes and choppers do not allow you to pick off pilots from the cockpit. I've had that problem since BF 1942 though. A product of the BF:V engine it seems we also can not have sectional damage, but I guess i'm looking for a different game. As far as the mod goes, It's pretty good. It betters BF:V like DC bettered BF 1942. I'll be playing it for a while along with FA and JO(that is once I get off my arse and buy a copy).
August 26, 200421 yr -Snauhi]Battle Field and its mods are too fake , play Operation flashpoin:resistance
