My question is, why not? Do the people that made FA not want to bother or are they tired of FA or not around or what? ANyone know the anser to this. Is it too hard to do? Take too long? I have no idea what it entails to make the switch to Source but sure would be nice to see. FA Lifer here.

Ya, the FA Team decided it was time to move on to other mods. One part is working on a HL2 mod called Jungle Mist while another part is working on another secret mod (I believe its called something like "World At War" or something).

Ok if you guys ever decided to read the FA forums instead of pulling stuff out of your a**, you would know that the FA team signed an agreement with valve stating that FA will never leave the HL engine (This includes not going to HL2) because FA was packaged with CS at one point etc.

Looodon Bridge is falling down, falling downLoooanyway.I was looking at Jungle Mist. It looks a lot like FA really. Some of the guns in the HL1 version are the exact same as the Firearms guns.And have they announced this World at War?

I've looked at jungle mist, although the idea is good, but since its the same team, the only thing that will be decent are the maps. the weapons will never be balanced or the selection will suck. At least the models will look good.

I say that if u support this idea, then post it on the FA review. Let them know that u stand behind them 100% b/c if your like me, U are a FA junky.

It'll never get off the ground. As much as i'd like to see it, i don't think i would play it.

Really? We have people in the positions, but could always use more coders and modelers/skinners/animators, etc.

I can give one good reason for no FA:SFA 3.0

FA just needs to fade out, then die and never mentioned again. I think the problem with FA is that the community in general doesn't do anything for the mod. The mappers seem to be a nice bunch and i owe alot to a few of them, but the rest need to chill and not take everything personallyThey don't listen to what the community wants. We wanted the weapons balanced, so they make it worse. We wanted new weapons, so they add them, but screwed everything else up in the process. If FA is any indication of what jungle mist will be, it'll have a loyal following but will never make it bigFA:Revival is a bad idea, even if its not by the original team.
