December 10, 200421 yr Well I don't know how proning will work, hitbox issues should be taken care of by the engine itself, weapons are being worked on (if you want to see the ideas stop on by the new site). I can't say about the sounds yet. It's gonna be good, you'll see. http://elfingo.com/far/
December 16, 200421 yr Not to single anyone out, but someone was trying to convince people on the TAC server that FA:R cannot have the word "Firearms" in the title. This is 100% pure bull shit. How do I copyright a name, title, slogan or logo? Copyright does not protect names, titles, slogans, or short phrases. In some cases, these things may be protected as trademarks. Contact the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, 800-786-9199, for further information. However, copyright protection may be available for logo artwork that contains sufficient authorship. In some circumstances, an artistic logo may also be protected as a trademark. http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-protect.html#title I know many people do not trust the government, but I think we can make an exception here. Also someone pointed out Dillards as being copyrighted, that is incorrect. Dillards is trademarked to distinguish their line of stores. http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=vbukvo.2.12 See, that is a trademark. You'll also note this applies to software e.g. Half-Life is a trademark. "Firearms" is not trademarked, neither is "FA". It doesn't matter though because one cannot have a monopoly on the use of a word. I hope this puts to rest in further concerns about that issue.
