what are you playing it on....an Apple 2e with a 12 kb connection or somethin? I have a 1.6 ghz processor, old crappy dell comp, and I have REALLY short loading times (maybe 10 seconds sometimes) and the game runs smoothly. I enjoyed the 2 hours I played so far greatly

that game depends on almost pure dl speed. from what i have noticed has ntohign to do with pc specs.

I've managed to solo my monk/warrior pretty well. I die quite a bit because I'm alone, but the death penalty in this game is a joke compared to what I'm used to so it don't upset me. So far, other than some lag in the newbie area as everybody was playing it today, I've been very happy with it's performance.

 

Hehe, I made a PvP character named "Slighty Mad" who's team went 14 rounds straight flawless victories before getting totally trounced by what appeared to be a team of Paladins. I was getting pretty good with this Ice Elementalist, using his slows to keep meleers off my healer and off me.

 

Swords are going to be the PvP weapon of choice, I can tell already.

Heh, yeah my character is lvl 3 atm, Elementalist. Couldn't play yesterday (can't play on weekends lol) so i Realy didn't get that high.

i hate this game. it took me a couple hours to load the main zone. and each time i try to battle, it dls 200 more files i dont want/need taking an extra 10 min, by then the game is done, and im stuck in a world by myself that was ment for 6 ppl. i played the actual game too.

 

i hate it. it sucks. blah blah blah. maybe if they COMPLETELY tore down the user interface and rebuilt it from scratch, it would be slightly better. no thank you. its worth it to just pay for a great game. not gonna bother with this game, might as well delte me lol.

i actual went on a buddies comp. and played it. hence why i said, user interface. i think this game just sucks :/ o well.

1.) G: The game launches instantly for me, I click on Play GW, it launches within 1 second, I put in my PW, it connects in under a second, I select my character, 3 seconds later the map is loaded. I change zones, downloads 110kb in 2 seconds, done. It has nothing to do with download speed because I'm on wireless now, and my throughput is cut more than in half.

 

2.) I've yet to find a bug, or a niggle that pisses me off about the GUI.

 

3.) I've already joined a guild called [xDex], we have about 20 members, looking for about 20 more. We have capes and are working on a Hall.

Been playing the PvP for as much as 3 hours at a time for the past 2 nights and I can offer the following observations....

 

The Warrior/Monk combo is being severely overused. As a result, it get's very hard to completely destroy even a mediocre team with 2 or 3 of these, nearly impossible with 4. Reason being as everybody can take hits and everybody can heal halfway decent. And usually, everybody can resurect. You may want to consider some way of interupting spells such as the necro "Shivers" spell combined with another cold spell follow up. Also, alot of these freaks like to run and regen to full HP to attempt a rez (they can usually take the abuse long enough to pull the rez off), so you may also consider taking some "Knockdown on the run" abilities such as Elementalist "Water Trident", Rangers "Hunter's Strike" (may have the name wrong), or even some slow abilities like Elementalist "Deep Freeze" or that slow that even newbie Mezmer's get.

 

Swords seem to be the weapon of choice for most meleers as the basic "Sever Artery" causes bleed damage which can keep runners from regening for a bit. My specialized PvP char "Keddera" killed a handful of fleeing chars on bleed damage alone.

 

Keep an eye out for Keddera, she's my Monk/Warrior combo that likes to get up in the front of the fight and slug it out with the Warrior primaries.... funny how many of them actually run when they realise it's nearly impossible to kill her one on one

Ravenwulf Stormmoon - Ranger/Elementalist reserved for partnering with wife's Monk/Mezmer

 

Krecian Ironheart - Monk/Warrior combo used to unlock and tinker with various Monk and Warrior abilities for use with my Arena character

 

Sir Bidamis - Warrior/Mezmer experiment. I have a theory this combo might be good for running down fleeing PvPers.

Heh, yeah. The first beta they had for this I played a warrior monk and went to the colosseum a bunch of times. Usually I won like 2 rounds and then lost. One time I got on a team that was all warrior/monks and warrior/necromancers and we won like 7 rounds in a row like it was nothing, and then I crashed

My monk/warrior got totally destroyed today. Seems spellcaster killing mezmers were very popular tonight and this is devestating as my favorite Arena fighter is very dependent on her smites and heals to stay in the thick of it. Tried one for myself tonight.. got it's fun popping the enchantments off a Paladin and interupting their long casting rez :o

 

But still.... made a custom Paladin of my own that used Symbol of Wrath as one of her spells. In the heat of the fight, alot of enemies don't notice the 5 ticks of 22 damage they are taking when they bunch up around me.

 

I was in a group of THREE Paladins and one newbie Elementalist..... The elementalist died alot but learned the ins and out by fire. Meanwhile, us 3 paladins have been at it awhile. I recognised both guys from previous nights. We DESTROYED TWENTY ONE TEAMS IN A ROW!!! We were beating even other Pally heavy teams. Poor Blighters, I was actually starting to feel a bit cheap in the end there.

Ive got a level 11 Warrior/Necro. Really fun. I havent done any PvP yet, but this character is getting better. I have a TON of + to damage skills that I can pop off in a row, for a nice effect.

Lol nice. my E/Mo combo (lvl 10) is doing me good. I cast a spell that gives me 230% or so of life everytime i cast a spell (based on how much energy it costs)

 

So i cast that, and than just cast away flares, or a fireball/fire storm if i need to :peace:

and oh man oh man, my guild almost beat the entire hall of heroes! We lost on our last 1v1 fight before getting in.... damn it was crazy. Too bad we didn't have many healers (blaze was only one, wheat... isn't that great of a healer) and our tank wasn't caling as many people as we thought.
