May 12, 200520 yr PSP very nice. i can imagine it set you back a bit? How's the game working and how does it look.
May 12, 200520 yr Author Gameplay is really smooth. But more than that the video playback is amazing. I can reduce a full length movie to 200-400mb and it plays back in 16:9 @ 30fps, 128kbs stereo. The onboard speakers suck but owell it came with some headphones that are decent. I have some custom earbuds I prefer. It is definately worth the money. Here are the costs broken down. PSP Unit+Case+Charger+32mb MS: $250.00 2 Year Replacement Plan: $40.00 Untold Legends: $40.00 1gb Memory Stick Duo Pro: $130.00 So all in all you're looking at 460+taxes...Definately worth it. I just hope UMD doesn't become the next Betamax.
May 12, 200520 yr i wanted to get one off ebay, but the fact that you need a totaly new disk to do movies or games is a rip off, you can just get a usb stick but thats still loads. when they get umd disk burner or transfer software and the price goes down, maybe
May 12, 200520 yr Author I doubt UMD burners will be seen in the near future. Who knows though. Sony is making major bank from selling the 1gb and 2gb memory sticks. 1gb ranges from 100-200 and 2gb is 350-500. I guess its understandable since they are selling the PSP units themselves at a loss.
May 12, 200520 yr You call it 'distraction'? I thought you were speaking about Woman. Now thats a distraction, not a little game console.
May 12, 200520 yr In my opinion i dont think sony will ever release umd burners to the general public. For know its their only way of really protecting against people who pirate and make more copies of the games. And its goes the same for selling blank umd's.
May 13, 200520 yr Author Bad News >< Sandisk has been telling retailers "They'll ship tomorrow" for over a month. Realistic ETA is the end of the month but most initial shipments don't even cover the current backorders. I cancelled my order for one as soon as the company told me the availability was an error. Looks like I'll be on Froogle and Ebay for the next few hours/days. If anyone finds a 1gb Memory Stick Pro Duo for 130 or under I will do something nice for you like Paypal or something.
May 14, 200520 yr Author Not really, the guy was selling like 50 of them, and has nearly a 9000 rating, 98% positive
May 15, 200520 yr Don't you see anything fishy when they sell it for one penny starting bid?? no that just means he doesnt have to pay an extra fee to put it up at a higher price. usually if you know it is obv going to sell for a good amount, put it up for one penny and itll go up in price in no time. good way to avoid extra fees -G
