considering i only have like 2 games installed on my computer right now, i think it can get it to work.

hmm i dont know if i can play it.

remember BFV minimum requirement? 900mhz cpu?

i hope these are more accurate, if they are i can probaly play

All 12 do. :D

But like what graphics cards will be able to run the game.

1.4 shader support does not tell me much.

Yes, my pc meet the minimum but with the bf:v1, I lagged hard on USA servers...

But I think I will buy it when it will be available in europa.

Egidio.

I dunno...

i have Intel 1.5 cpu, 512 mb ram and 128 mb gforce FX 5200, win98se.

and an Amd 1.3 " , " " " " " " " " " " .

I guess I have more homework to determine if it does or can get 1.4 shader from updates.

Problem with updated video drivers is my bfv no work with them. with older drivers bfv is fine.

Microsoft utility I downloaded and ran to tell me if I can get away with winxp upgrade said i have to give up "fixit 2000" ; "Norton Utilities 2000" ; "Memturbo2" ; and probably "NIS 2003". Said hardware drivers in question too unless I reformat and use full install instead of upgrade.

If I can determine my hardware can run it, I might consider winxp.otherwise the cost of all the software and hardware would be rediculous.

Any knowledgable info you anyone can give me ?

Anyone have a gforce fx 5200-agp-128mb vid card and bf2 demo ?

But like what graphics cards will be able to run the game.

Known video cards supported (the list is not conclusive):

Man my Ti4200's are faster than a 5700, X300's, X600's, 9600's and 9550's.

I really hope the list is missing a few.

I know my vid can take it but i only have 1.8 amd 768pc2100 memory and am starting to have doubts? hopefully the demo will subside those doubts.

Ti4200?We have, my son and me, burned the rams of 3 nvidia Ti4200 with 128MB. on board and had been replaced by 1 fx5600 128MB. on mine pc, 1 fx5600 256MB. but selled and 1 fx5900 128MB. for my son.

I have replaced my fx5600 128MB. by a fx5700 serie 128MB. = best but the pc can't fellow this card : some self resets sometime because the drivers have problems with the old Asus A7v133 motherboard... :)

My son have an Asus A7n8x since 1 year and 10 month ago and he don't have any problem(s)??? :(

Egidio.

Mac, unfortunately, the 4200 doesn't support the 1.4 pixel shader that BF2 is going to require. I have the 4200 ti in my old machine, and my son is going to be upset if he isn't able to play (old machine is now basically his), so, I have a feeling, a new card for me is in order, and move my current card to his machine.. :) I believe I read that the main requirement is the 1.4 pixel shader, if the card supports that, and the memory requirements for the video, then I think you should be at least able to run it..

Hmmm. That sucks.

So no DX8 supported cards then.

Can it go down in support like Doom3 and other games. I cannot find any reference to this.

I saw a list of a ton of cards once that would and would not work in the game, and the TI4200 was one of the ones that specifically was listed as "could not" (I looked because of my older machine having it). Now, how "official" was this list, I'm not sure, but if you look at the TI4200 specs. Based on this link, which has alot of cards on it, the TI4200 has a 1.3 Pixel shader, and the game is said to require 1.4. http://users.erols.com/chare/video.htm

:edit: Well, on another site, I read that the game "supports" 1.4 pixel shaders? So, I don't really know what to think now? Maybe it will be possible that it could run at a lower level on the Ti4200, but more places than not that I've seen say it won't..?

Hmmmm. Thanks for the info. I will do some searching myself and see.

If this is the case. If you have seen the HL2 results of what people game with. I am surprised that the game BF2 has gone Gold then. There will be a lot of returns if the game will not work with a TI4200. There are a lot of 4200's out there. I am sure there are a lot of 4200's that pre-purchased the game too. We shall see.

This is what Best Buy has listed for "Minimum" specs for the game (DVD release of 06/14 BTW and CD release of 06/18).

Minimum PC System Requirements

PC Processor Type Intel Pentium 4 processor, AMD Athlon XP processor

PC Processor Speed 1.7GHz

PC Operating System Windows XP

PC System Memory 512MB RAM

PC Hard Drive Space 2.3GB

PC Video 128MB DirectX 9.0c-compatible NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or ATI Radeon 8500 video card

PC Sound Card DirectX 9.0c-compatible sound card

PC Drive Type and Speed CD-ROM 8x

PC Additional Requirements Internet service required to access online features

What I find could be problem for alot of people, and I've seen alot of talk on it at numerous sites, is the Requirement of WinXP.. Anyone else notice that? Won't be a problem for me, but.....

PC Video 128MB DirectX 9.0c-compatible NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or ATI Radeon 8500 video card

PC Sound Card DirectX 9.0c-compatible sound card

There will be a lot of returns. That is for sure. People ordered it on the net and did not see the specs.

Doom 3 was XP only but there was a "crack" for Win9x.

Chronicles of R i d d i c k ( EXCELLENT GAME ) was XP only but no "Crack" for Win9x.

This was not a surprise the XP only. The video restriction was. I have 2 Radeon 9100's that can play the game but my 4200's can't. Oh well.
