January 23, 200620 yr CORRECTION: For anyone having problems with the map, there is an error in the readme.txt. Here are the new instructions: ------------------------------------------------------ Extract the folder (and its contents) to here... Once extracted, it should have the following files: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels\Road_to_Sinjar\Info\ C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels\Road_to_Sinjar\Client.zip C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels\Road_to_Sinjar\Server.zip NOTE: Do not extract the "client.zip" or the "server.zip" ------------------------------------------------------ Note the change to the location of server.zip. Hope this helps! Hmmmm. With this assuring post I'll download now and try.
January 24, 200620 yr I followed latest instructions. Changed xp unzipper route with browse button to ...\bf2\mods\bf2\levels\ . Then realized need to specify additional folder ...levels\Road_to_Sinjar\ . So created that folder and moved the 2 zips and txt file into it. The Info folder in original zip is showing 0 kb. It was not created by extractor so I also created that "Info" folder in Sinjar folder. The Sinjar map doesn't show in multiplayer - create local - map select list . The 2 zip folders were unpacted larger then in 1st zip. Is this the prob ? If so, i don't understand how to remove them without uncompressing them ? They still show as zips but are slightly larger then in main zip. I'm getting headache. Moving on to other things.
January 24, 200620 yr i made the folder look exactly like all the other map folders and im running it in a multiplayer local game, still trying to get it running.
January 26, 200620 yr I scarily woke up wednesday with it on my mind and something i maybe missed. Isn't the first time I woke up with solution to try for a problem. Seems in my sleep I'm still "computing" problem solutions. Must have watched to much Star Trek 1 for years. Spock was my favorite. I went staright to explorer and noticed what I saw in my dream just before waking up. Weird becasue it was infront of my eyes even in the pic I posted. The "info" folder from original extraction was in levels folder. I deleted the empty one i created from sinjar folder and moved this one containing files to sinjar folder. Voila. Sinjar now shows on map selct list. But like Klink and other's, it finishes long load bar, i click join button, then it crashes to desktop.

You must select "Create Local" and then select the map.
January 26, 200620 yr You cannot run in "Single" player mode. You must select "Create Local" and then select the map. Sorry. I thought I mentioned earlier after reading all posts here, I was using multi-create-local.
January 26, 200620 yr newest 81.98 nvidia drivers in have improved fa and cs by getting custom sprays working again. all 3 bf2 custom map packs in. surprisingly smooth as silk atleast alone in multi-create local . clean sweep before with all that wavy water always casued lag. not as much anymore. atleast for this nvidia 5200 fx 128 mb. dunno about tiger's ati yet as still using older drivers for that. so seems a prob with sinjar for our systems still. will try lost village next and advise. edit : village lost i got in but locked up when i tried to board boat. thanks for much time working on offering new maps.
