I'm dedicating my 1500th post (yay, a Captain) for this, so please listen to my sad story.

 

It all began with BigBang some 15 billion years ago... Some after that time, there was born one insignificant creature. That would be me.

 

My story here really began in 2002, when in february a friend introduced me to FA (at that time it was 2.5). I didn't have cable internet connection back then, so i sacked the idea of playing on-line. The end of the first year at my university was coming close soon. I've gotten cable modem and thanks to that in june i figured that instead of learing for egzams i should start playing FA instead. I had to upgrade to 2.6. The Armory was the second server i went to. I was atracted to large number of slots available (24 at that time). I quickly became atracted more and more to the atmosphere and the people on the server and soon (after 2 days) this was the only server i played FA on. I quickly became 'friends' with all the big fish around (Gator and Mac).

 

Those were the days... When mother was at a hospital i stayed all nigths playing. It was pure joy, even playing with folks like Imknifes and Jimbo (who were soon accused of cheating and banned) - who remembers them? At the end of that year i was even invoted to the clan and became server moderator, which soon gained me a title of 'the greatest banana salesman of the world'. But at the start of the next year i have fallen victim to psychological breakdown. It lasted few months (at least till end of vacation o that year) and caused me to leave moderating and TA clan.

 

After i came back, i'm sure people remember it, i started playing wierd like running wild with no armor euipped only with my ol' Desert Eagle. I had fun. My teammates didn't. But when i played seriosuly, there was a time, when i was ranked #2 on a server for about a week, second only to White Lion. But with each and new version (starting with 2.7) the game seemed to degrade for me. It was not as much fun as it was at the beginning. Thus i started playing even less and less until, when 3.0 came out i didn't even install it. That was 2 years ago. From that time i haven't played ANY on-line game at all (except for about 2 hours when i played BF2Demo on my brother's computer). At the begginning i missed it. Now i don't. And i'm glad that my computer won't take BF2, for i know i would be back. And i had few things to do.

 

Which draws to the point as to why i have named this thread in such a way.

 

When i started playing FA i was on the first year. Four years passed. And today, today marks the day from which You can call me a Master.

 

Becouse upon presenting the thesis titled "Intersubband transitions in coupled quantum well systems used in costruction of quantum cascade lasers" and passing the thesis' egzam, i have gained a right to be called a Master.... of Science in Applied Physics.

 

It's over now. This chapter is.

 

But now starts even more fun part. Some time ago i was aproached by a coleague and asked whether i wanted to continue my education. And the result is, that i will be soon leaving for Ireland, where at the Cork University of Technology i will start my 3-year PhD studies. It's been decided and the chance of that not happening is somewhere between impossible and miraculous.

 

Who knows? Maybe i will be able to afford a new compter then - one that will enable me to play games that Armory is currently playing. The sad thing would be that i would be a private among generals and i would be owned. Going to at least private 2nd class it could take another 4 years.

 

But the perspective of hearing once again Gator, Mac and so may other players whom i remember is a temptation.

God damn Congratz, LARGE congrats, got another 3 years of study to go before i get my masters, 2 more at BSc and 1 at MSc,

 

It all adds up to another 0 on the paycheck at the end of the study, so look foward to that and smile.

Sure, here it is. I've added a poster too. This version has 4 spelling mistakes in it, but i've found that outn after presenting it :/

 

And, as my professor (damn good theoretician) noted, there are inconsistencies in theory. But hey, i'm only on the first step there.

 

Oh yes, it's in polish of course...

Minus the fact that that was in polish, my brain hurts!
