October 31, 200619 yr Happy Halloween!! I'm working, but one of our officers is doing a spooktacular scare fest at his house. He has all the officers dress up in costumes and has like an outdoor haunted house. It's really cool. He goes all out for halloween. He purchased an 8' tall grim reaper costume for $350. :peace: I'm definitely stopping by. I also buy candy and give it out to the kids from the patrol car.
October 31, 200619 yr Have a happy Samhain! May your harvest be bountiful and your future bright as we head into the coming winter! Happy all hallows eve! 'He is seated on a black chair, with a crown of black horns, two horns on the back of his neck, and one on the forehead which sheds light on the assembly; the hair bristling, the face pale and exhibiting signs of uneasiness, the eyes round, large and fully opened, inflamed and hideous, with a goat's beard. The neck and rest of the body deformed, and in the shape of a goat; the hands and feet of a human being.' The oath to the demon had to be pronounced in the centre of a circle traced on the ground, accompanied by the offer of some pledge, such as the garment of the novitiate. The edge of the circle was supposed to establish a mark which the demon could not cross. Heavy perfumes, such as vervain, with burning incense and lighted tapers, always formed part of the ceremonial. The smoking brazier, which entered largely into the ritual, was believed to act on the demons, and was constantly fed with all kinds of those vegetable and animal substances that would produce the most smoke. The presence of toads or familiars, which were sometimes dressed up by the witches in scarlet velvet with little bells, is mentioned in connexion with the Sabbaths." the previous quoted story was from "C. J. S. Thompson" Happy Halloween! Trick or Treat! Smell my feet or give me something good to eat! Happy Halloween all! From your friendly neighborhood Eskimo!!! :peace:

November 1, 200619 yr HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! There was a time when I and preteen friends would actually have done that if we'd thought of it for a laugh. I laughed picturing someone at door trick or treating with no costume. When asked what he was, he'd turn and pull down his drawers with that. He'd likely get a "Mr. Big" chocolate bar or foot to that or his treat bag. I wonder if he'd think it a treat or "trick". j/k :peace:
