May 15, 200718 yr 2nd cousin was governor of Alaska a few years back. Another 2nd cousin played for the St.Louis Cardinals he stunk so only played 1 season . Another 2nd cousin played for the Dallas Cowboys D.D. lewis retired after alot of years with them back in the day . 1 Aunt was miss Alaska in 55 1 was Miss Alaska in 57 and My mom was miss Alaska in 62 but back then they didn't get to go to the Miss America pageant another aunt was 1st runner up in 64 and the youngest finished third in 68. And you wonder why I only have bad luck They used all the good luck for the whole family and no I look nothing like them I dont know what happened maybe I was adopted and they never told me j/k I have my moms skin color and hair but I look like my dad...

May 16, 200718 yr I was told that Will Rogers was related to me thru my Mother's Mother and his Mother who was a Cherokee indian. I always thought it strange because my last name is Rodgers not Rogers.

May 16, 200718 yr On my Mom's side of the family I am related to Harold Urey. He received the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1934 for the discovery of "heavy" hydrogen. He worked on the Manhattan Project. (hides) Also, my grandma, and her parents were the first family in the United States (second people only) to survive botulism poisoning in March 1938. They survived by receiving an untested horse serum (that is still in use today). It proved that the serum worked for the first time on humans. Sadly, she lost her brother and sister since they only had enough of the shot for my Grandma and her parents when it first arrived at the house. My Mom is currently writing a story about it for publishing.
