It also depends on how your body deals with venom...some people react differently than others. My buddy got bit and it just swelled. I had two of my athletes get bit at home while sleeping and they both necratized in 3 or 4 days. It gets pretty bad. Some people avoid hospital visits at all costs, thats the whole problem. I deal with these spiders every year because they love to live in your closets and under all your sinks. Its harder to identify them than the black widow and so they are a little more dangerous in my book.

Well down here in TX....we deal with the Brown Recluse quite a bit....pretty bad what it can do to your skin! I've seen that episode!!! I am a little bit of a trekky. I don't watch much anymore though. Just another addin...I just watched the episode with the direct energy weapons, and the LRAD is pretty sweet. It uses sound waves to disable personel.
