I have a gigabyte mobo that supports 8 channel surround sound.I want to get surround sound. I'm currently looking at a creative 7.1 set for $99.99That should work directly with my mobo right?

Its actually working really well. I ping about 90 instead of 80. However, I download at about the same rate, maybe a little slower 8) Argh, Christmas needs to come... need $ for graphics card

I was trying to download something and I accidently klicked allow download on some other garbage and now my new comp is full of viruses/adaware.I think norton took care of the viruses but it won't delete the adaware.Can someone please give a link to a free scanner.Thanks,PUNISHER

This game looks really cool. I have posted about it before but I think you guys should check out the movies. It has been delayed until May 2005, sound familiar? This game has some awesome features. Its like rpg fps where you can trade, learn no skills, etc... I'd check out newegg.com if I were you. I just purchased a comp from there, it was cheap and it came fast.I spent around $500It only has a fx5200 card but it runs HL2 maxed smooth.NewEgg also has bundles, I think you can get a good mobo and cpu for about $250.

No I'm serious, I can play doom 3 on medium at 1024 res smooth as well.I must have an uber 5200 btw, the fact that I have a amd 64 3000 might help as far as Far Cry goes, i'm not really sure.Tomorrow I'm buying a router so I can network our 2 comps. Think I'm gonna go wireless just to make things easier.I've played HL2 for a few hours today, it didn't crash once. Funny thing is everything is maxed except AA. HL2 must be coded very well.I don't get why people say the graphics are better than doom3/Far Cry. Seems to me they are all about the same.
