  1. I agree the MP was more for 360 than PC, although it is still quite fun! I'd knock the issue with bunny hoping/ shooting still which is super lame and I thought that was solved. Pings are still a little high in most servers, like 80, which makes for poor hit detection. But overall its a lot of fun and worth the buy, especially for the SP mode!
  2. Shuttering, I'm reading, has to do with driver issues and such. Glad some of you having a better experience though.
  3. No, it is not a hardware issue. I has to be something to do with the COD graphics content and the Nvidia driver - which I often set to over ride games. I think I'll just let the game set the AA and AF.
  4. Just curious if anyone else is having issues with the game other than myself? 1 - I'm having issues connecting as most of my attempts to connect "time out". 2 - After playing about 15 minutes the computer will completely freeze and I'll have to manually reset. 3 - Game playing doesn't feel smooth like 2142. Maybe it is just me, but seriously these issues are pissing me off. I think there's some driver and server issues. EDIT: RESOLVED 1 - Master server timeout is the cause to connection issues which COD will have to fix and I beleive it is regional. 2,3 - Graphical issues were due to forcing graphics settings via NVIDIA control panel, so let COD determine the graphics settings.
  5. Yeah your single core and 7800gt are craying, "NO MORE!"
  6. When I played 2142 can't really say I had a consistent nemisis. There were times when people would get some good kills on me but it was never consistent. But I consistently a** rammed them. Having a 3.2KD would do that... And being banned from several severs for "hacking".. *rolling eyes*.
  7. Ah hell f*** this! I'd rather be bit by a shark than have a damn parasite eat my brains out! < : O .
  8. Double it, as I always do, to know if you'll actually be able to enjoy the game! I'd recommend: Dual Core 2GB of RAM 256MB, 256 bit path VGA XP or Vista
  9. Naw, BF2 is all the DICE I can handle, with all the other games out there, there's to much real competition now and DICE can suck on... Well no that's to much of a priveledge. So we'll leave it at that... I'm looking forward to the single player of COD4 ALSO and not just some damn give me your money and ONLY play online game.
  10. I really hope it doesn't go for PC. COD4 for the win!
  11. Yeah, I like playing these games w/o stats. POE and PR are quite a lot of fun, though they still miss some points of realism.... BF2 engine is just so limiting.

  13. Well you're not the only one to pop off on your keyboard. I actually did destroy my keyboard. I beat the sh** out of it, beating probably twenty keys out of it before I ripped it from the desk and snapped the cord in half. Mental note, don't ever do that, because I toasted my motherboard in the process of the USB cables crossing and had to RMA.

  15. To be frank, DICE can kiss my ass.

  19. Yeah I just saw this also and downloaded it, haven't installed it yet as I'm stuck on Project Reality mod for BF2. Rather fun!

  21. Crysis is going to own Halo 3. We haven't seen a real FPS come out for a long! time. BIOSHOCK okay, but not like Crysis.
  22. If the game takes advantage of multi-core processors we wont need a physics card. Crysis has a near 99% destructable environment also and it doesn't require a physics card but they do highly recommend two or more processors. Tom Clancy's next FPS illistrated how they optimized their upcoming release for quad core and I'm sure many more developers are going to be doing this also. As for the graphics cards keep in mind this is primarily a console game XBOX 360 which doesn't have the power of an 8800GTX. So the PC game's performance will truly depend on how well the game is optimized for NVIDIA and DX9c. Its set to be released Q1 of 2008 which lends me to believe you'll want dual core and the 8 series card for MED/HIGH graphics. We must be careful in getting over excited about what hardware requirements the game will need. I've seen this particularly with Crysis. But these games are in the works several years before the release meaning the hardware requirements will more than likely be a year old from the release date. So any hardware from early 2007 and on will do just fine.
  23. I'm reluctant to just jump for this. Granted there's some cool stuff but didn't we feel the same way about BF2 and 2142? I wonder what will be driving the physics, better not be some Ageia Physics card! . Hopefully its Havok or something NOT made by DICE. :S.
