  1. Yeah I got it yesterday and it's really awesome. It's really realistic too. One shot to the head will kill you, but it takes a lot more body shots, which make sense because of body armor. I really like the multiplayer maps/modes too. The map in the mp demo was really terrible, it's similar to the 2142 demo in that the demo map sucked really hard, but the maps in the full game turned out to be really good. Also, it's really easy to die. An enemy could be hiding anywhere and one shot can take you out. Also, many weapons have silencers so the muzzle flash is greatly reduced, so you could be getting shot and you don't know where from before you die . You have to see the enemy before they see you usually I recommend this game . I think it would be great if the armory took it under its belt Edit: I thought I should tell you guys about a game mode. There is an assault/recon mode where, you guessed it, there is a recon team and an assault team. The recon team are the defenders and they're trying to defend three anti-aircraft guns from being blown up by the assault guys. The recon team has unlimited respawns, but it takes longer to respawn with each gun that's destroyed. The assault team has no respawns, so once you die, you're done. But if a gun is destroyed while you're dead, you get to respawn. So yeah teamwork is a must when you're on the assault team, and helpful when you're on recon So far I feel like I like the M416 the best . Basically an M16 Sadly, there is no shotgun Also, there are regular modes such as team death match. Only tried those two modes so far though, I don't know if there are more.

Alright so I was talking to freefall on vent and it turns out that my ill experiences with this game are due to the noobs I was playing with and some features I didn't know about that would make the game a lot better. You really need a team that works together I'm going to give it a second chance, but this time hopefully playing with somebody I know, such as freefall or norcalxx I guess I'll do that tomorrow night when I get back from work ^_^ If it's better, I'll tell you guys so and point out how having a lousy team makes the game suck. If it isn't, then well I guess I just don't like it

Alright I have been an rts fan for a long time. I started with starcraft, played Warcraft III and the expansion, I played Company of Heroes (another military RTS, but this one is in WWII), and I am looking forward to Starcraft 2 World in Conflict sucks. Your troops are paradropped in, which means you have no home base. Building, maintaining, and defending your home base was half the battle in traditional, and better, RTSs. This game doesn't allow add the increased difficulty of quickly building a base, instead you pretty much start in the fray. It is basically like a bf2142 map, but you have an in-the-air view of people doing their thing. So basically it takes out pretty much everything I liked in an RTS and makes it an FPS with an in-the-air view. This game becomes a sort of just move your units around and let them fire at stuff while you sit there and hope you win In addition, you have to be way up high in order to move your units around effectively. By doing this you feel that you are not part of the battle. I also hate how you can only specialize in one branch, i.e. air, support, etc. I'd much rather it be that you could produce all units type and how many of what type you produced and how you arranged them made a big difference in battle. This way, instead of spreading out your units in like 5 different locations to help all of your allies because they would be weak against certain units, you and your allies could create their own little mini armies to launch their own assaults with their own anti-air, tanks, infantry, aircraft, etc. You can get it if you want, but just know that not everybody thinks it's awesome.

Nah, I just kinda stood there trying to decide whether to blow you away or knife you as soon as you grew long ears and hopped around. I decided to knife you . I got you right where the sun don't shine ^_^ And if you were running at me head on you would be dead, you were doing the "anti-shotgun dance" as I like to call it
  5. Hey that sounds pretty cool actually And yeah not having a minimap was annoying, having to rely on your compass got on my nerves ^_^ Are the humvees only on big maps, and can they shoot at people. Also, can you destroy them? What does the opfor humvee look like? And what is the ACU? Lol sorry about so many questions.
  6. is it still the same basic gameplay? I think the last version i played was 2.1
  7. Do you still play America's Army? I used to play that, is it better now? I stopped playing a long time ago, like over a year.
  8. I used to play WoW, and man it was addicting. I stopped when I realized I wasn't going outside that much any more and my social life was starting to suffer lol. Although I must agree that RP servers are kind of..... weird... I was a hardcore PvPer ^_^ For those of you that don't know what role playing is, it's pretending even further that you are your character. So, for example, if you got hit by a fireball spell, you'd say something like "Your fireballs may burn my skin, evil one, but you will not prevail!" Or if you were getting attacked by an enemy and you were a Priest, you'd say something along the lines of "Your sword may rend my flesh, foe, but the light will prevail!" It's...well...I won't go there. And yes, one time I made a character on an RP server to see what it was like. I didn't stay there long . By far the nerdiest RP'ing I've ever seen was a video I watched where people went out into a forest (in real life btw) and pretended they were in a video game. This one guy was throwing fake arrows at people and every time he threw one he would yell "Firebolt! Firebolt! Firebolt!"

You need quicktime to view that I think If you mean the demo, it is a torrent file. Download uTorrent and it should work.

I have yet to see people not get along

I'm weird because I call people good and bad apples? Calling somebody weird because of a word they say is just going to an all-time low. You don't want to be a... err... *cough*

I think it's time I told all you guys the background of these strange words I use sometimes! So last year my Lit teacher was this awesome guy who was easy to get along with. He would always make jokes, and one summer he even went out into the wilderness with a couple of dedicated students and built a small house. The idea was to see what it was like to separate yourself from society just like Thoreau did. To make a long story short, this guy is a complete badass. Now in class he had all the best little sayings, and even though they were, if looked at independently, stupid, he made them awesome just with the way he used them. When somebody wasn't taking notes, he'd be like, "what are you, bionic?" He would call people good doobies and bad doobies (i have no idea what a doobie is lol), and yes, you guessed it, he would call people good and bad apples. So yeah my friends and I pretty much have adopted those little sayings after they were constantly thrown at us for an entire school year. And no, I don't have a weird fetish with apples, as somebody in vent (i can't remember who) suggested.

You guys better be good doobies. Being a bad doobie causes your preservatives to run out and then you'll become a bad apple.
  14. Yep, what you do is cap everything but the church it's easy to suppress them there because of the hill and all the firing positions from the place across the street
  15. and yes you can start recordingenuity-ing while you're in game
  16. Just use the trial version. Just turn it on when you're about to go into a place where you'll do some owning. 30 seconds is quite a long time when you're in intense fighting
  17. you download it. just search google for fraps it'll probably be the first one. It's really easy to use, just hit a button and it starts recording the trial version only lets you record 30 seconds at a time though. The full version (which I own) is $37 and lets you record for however long you want
  18. You have to use a program like Fraps.

You all may say that now.... but after you play in a round with me... But seriously, I actually don't like the buff. I mean I like the fact that it makes the shotgun stronger, but I don't like the fact that every noob and his mother is going to use it now. Nah, it's a 3-4 hit wonder at that range
  20. Congrats! From what I can tell from my parents, the secret to marriage is that the woman is always right. Oh and don't forget, they're the boss They've been married almost 20 years now, so it must be true
  21. Lol I remember that on vent yesterday *BOOM* "COSSSSUUUU!!!"
  22. Yeah i've seen that one a few times. Easy to get best squad
  23. So tonight I was playing on tunis harbor and I joined a squad (as usual). Anyways, when I died and was going to spawn on my squad leader, I noticed that the green dot wasn't on my squad leader. So I figured it was a beacon, but then it moved. I was like WTF and spawned on it, turns out I spawned on an enemy squad leader. My guess is that it is a simple code mixup and that he was the squad leader of the squad with the same number as the squad I was in (i.e. he was squad leader of charlie on PAC, I was in squad charlie on EU) This glitch is awesome because I spawned on him one time in the middle of a room with like 6 PAC guys in it, and I just killed them all hahaha Only got to spawn on him twice though Has anybody else had this happen? I think this is the third time it's happened in all the time I've played 2142
