Ok two days ago I downloaded it and tried it out... IT SUCKS It's so bad it's ridiculous. You would think that a strategy game would have relatively small maps with intense fighting, but this doesn't have that at all. Your units get airdropped in, and unless you are air with helicopters it takes forever to get your units to the fighting zones, especially if you're infantry. Then once you get there you most likely get owned and you have to air drop more troops and send them in... it's a vicious cycle. You have to pick one of four classes: air, support (arty, etc), infantry, or armor, and they all have extremely blatant weaknesses Your team is supposed to work together to make up for these weaknesses but that is incredibly hard to do effectively, and the collectively low IQ of most players makes that even harder Don't download this, it's a waste of time

I watched some multiplayer demo footage on youtube and it looks relatively fast-paced Also seems pretty realistic, i.e. a shot to the chest/head will kill you

Well yeah I was assuming that's what people in the armory would buy, seeing how all the games played are on PC

Yeah I see what you mean. But sometimes I see this happening to other teammates, and their barrels are above the object, and actually sticking over the object, but when they shoot I see the bullets hit the top. it's so frustrating because then the guys know you're there and when you move into a more exposed position to actually be able to hit your target you get mowed down

Oh that makes sense. There are two things I really hope they fix: 1. When you are standing behind a car or something and shooting with your head barely sticking up above it, even if your iron sights are above the top, the bullets still hit the object. This has gotten me killed plenty of times. 2. The fact that when you walk, especially when you turn, it feels like you are gliding. Also, when you watch people sprint, it looks like they are rollerblading because of the way they move their feet/arms. :o

Well yeah I know the maps but I don't know where the objectives are and it's good to know where you teammates are Also, I know it's meant to be realistic but I don't see why they don't even have a basic map. It would be nice if the map had blips, but they don't even have a map you can whip out and look at

I'd really like to join a squad with you guys and play with teamwork. As it is I've just played by myself but I don't know where anything is so I just basically run around killing people They really need to add a map They could even make it realistic by having it as an item you whip out (like a grenade or whatever) and you right click to look at it, then there'd be a little dot that shows where you are and other dots for your teammates Of course the dots are unrealistic but it's a video game, not everything is realistic

I run it fine, don't know the fps, but it's definitely high 1280x1024 Everything highest possible But then again.... 2GB RAM 2.9ghz pentium 4 dual core 512mb graphics card (I can't remember which, I'll check when I get back from work) And man is there a thunderstorm. I'm looking out the window towards downtown baltimore and i can see lightning hitting the buildings. OMFG lightning just hit my building! I'm not even joking, it scared the you know what out of me. BTW I'm on the top floor

You have to have the new beta version of ventrilo in order to have the lcd thing Click here and scroll down to the very bottom. After you download it, click on setup and go under global. It should be there. Note that I'm at work and cannot test this, it is just what I have gathered from websites.

Thanks guys Thanks The APMs are still quite deadly, you just have to hide them better now because they have less range. But I do think they're a *little* too weak, they need a bit more range. Before the nerf they were ridiculous, they could kill you from like 20 feet away and would often take out 3 or 4 guys. I think this would be fine if you could take them out by just shooting them with your pistol or something. I say if you're good with it, use it. You're already ranked #65, you could definitely get up there . A month or so ago I was ranked exactly the same with the shotgun . Plus, very few people use the lambert, and it is the same way with the shotgun, which is one of the reasons I like it

I have it, it's great! If you download the bf2142 thing for the LCD it's so helpful. You can see your kills/deaths, your rank on your team and your rank in the entire server, etc. At the end of a round it shows your points per minute too. It also has a nifty little walker that does the walker walk! I don't use the macro keys at all though, but I imagine if you decided to be an rdx noob for a round they would come in handy
