hmminteresting to see what he thinks of the issueand he is rightTFC, CS, DoD...all the VALVe supported mods work almost flawlessly...but the Third Party Games are ridden with flaws and bugs...it does suck...VALVe needs to get to work on fixing steam.

I believe it's like that because u can get med armor with it plus it's just awesome

sterling is ok for me besides the reload time without norm...really long...I really don't see anything that's horribly overpowered or horribly wrong in 2.8

first...make sure 2.8 is installed ( ) second...make sure the server you're trying to join isn't a 2.7 server

ya...people were complaing when 2.7 came out that the drag and SAW were too powerful...but people got used to it...

I'm...fairly...aware of some of you out there who have cursed off Steam and such... well...you can get 2.8 without having to get Steam, but I'm pretty sure with this little thing you'll only be able to play on WON servers...that is of course till they shut down...anyway here it is: http://www.fileplanet.com/files/110000/119016.shtml as I said...this lets people who don't want Steam to play 2.8 on WON servers I don't know if people know about this...but I saw it on the main page of www.fileplanet.com and thought I treat some of you (and treat the FA Amish clan too)

I'm srryit's just that it's like everyone is dissing...in my experiance with it...amazing program that VALVe has released...this was supposed to benefit us...and for me it is.It's like this steam is a Pentium with Windows 3.1 and everyone is forced to figure out how to install DoomIII...like...these people are makign it sound alot more aweful than it actully is...

nope dude...like DeadRoach here said, The Armory is powered by Steam so if you still want to be in TA or play Firearms soon (the WON servers are going down sometime within a week I believe) you're going to have to get it seriously patriot...it's DEFINATLY not as bad as people are saying

when it says client_dll doesn't match server's...are you making sure that ur not trying to join a 2.7 server and not a 2.8 server? (if you have 2.8 installed of course)I know I was trying to join a server but it said my dlls and my ps_river didn't match server's but then I discovered it was a 2.7 serverfind a server with 2.8 in its name and try it

dear god...what have you people downloaded!I've been playing FA 2.8...CS...and DoD all friggen night and I havn't had a single errordear lord please stop the whining...

where is the new quick config file anyway? I can't find it

you need the Armory ip...you can find it on the main page in 'Server Status'but I havn't been able to connect to it...giving me some kinda weird error

loleverything you say there is completely crapthe new version is awesome...I enjoy it well over the other versions...it feels more like a professional mod now

I think everyone who are whining about 'So many errors' and 'huge file size!' are just making it up to be part of a group or have gotten the wrong versionPeople whining about the second thing (huge file size) are just whiners...c'mon! What'd you expect? VALVe to cram in their most popular mods PLUS the full game of Half life and keep the size under 50mb?
