  1. That is exactly what is was. Because of the disabled sections of the card the engineers made a slow bridge to the last 512MB of memory. But the marketing department didn't get the memo. GTX 970 is a damn good card for 1080p gaming. I, Mr. AMD Fanboi, purchased one. At the time, 970 cheaper, less wattage, and faster in some AAA titles compared to AMD's 290X for a spare gaming PC.
  2. Here is my input on passwords. https://xkcd.com/936/ https://xkcd.com/792/ A complicated password like C6-BYs$v7p is not better than MyDogIsTheCutestOne. And 2nd one is much easier to remember. Having a pattern to your passwords like MyDogIsTheCutestOneTblue. T for twitter and blue for color of twitters logo is not a bad idea. But ultimately I recommend having some password saving utility. Ones I can recommend are LastPass and PasswordSafe. With these utilities you only need to remember your master password and then generate passwords (or phrases) for each service. I firmly believe you should have a different password for EVERY service/website. But if you cant, NEVER NEVER use your e-mail password anywhere else! This is one way people's Origin/Steam/Bank/Payapl accounts get compromised! As for how often to change your password? Well if it's secure and only used for that one service, why change it? Only change passwords if a breach has happen. Changing passwords often makes you no safer and more acceptable to phishing attempts. So only change it when you have been compromised. Lastly, remember that Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer save your passwords as plain text by default. This means any person that can walk up to your PC and steal your passwords. So careful next time a browser prompts you save your password, maybe you don't want it to. I've proven this point at LAN's. I walked up friend's PC and with single command I typed in Windows Run menu copied their passwords to my desktop.... and then logged into their e-mail.
  3. Just a heads up with GTRIBE, they send your info to 3rd parties and will get extra spam in your e-mail box. Nothing terrible just general garbage.
  4. I play on Logitech trackman as well... the real winner is fragster. He needs to post a pic of his setup so even comprehend the madness.
  5. I don't think its your hard drive that is causing the stutters and random lags. Your read and write speeds are perfectly normal for traditional hard drive. To best of my knowledge BF4 loads the whole level into ram in the beginning, hence the very long load times each round. If you don't have enough RAM, this could be an issue and causes stuttering. But windows memory management is usually smart and will make BF4's memory take priority. Unless you are near the minimum requirements of the BF4 (4GB) this shouldn't be a problem. Without know much about your system, I would start by closing as many programs as you can before playing. Including anti-virus, game capture tools, browsers, etc. Are you on wi-fi? If so can you try a long Ethernet cable see if the solves it? Try playing the game at reduced video graphic settings? Does it help? If so, I would look into video drivers, CPU throttling, GPU throttling, overheating. If not, some software issue? I'm too tired to think of further debug steps. Good luck Because we're posting crystal disk mark benches, I'll post mine. Big numbers don't mean much. (2x 500gb Samsung 850 Evo's)
  6. Better have Dedicated Servers! Original one did. if they removed it, it would be a terrible remastered version.
  7. Hasn't Fallen off yet? I've been looking for one myself. Thanks for posting. Added to my Amazon cart.
  8. I sure enjoy the other game modes, but for rush rounds can you make map play 2 rounds so other team gets to attack/defend?

I haven't seen you play much so I don't know your style. Having more death than kills are not a bad thing if you are supplying health, ammo, lazing or taking out aircraft/tanks. We need people like you for us KDR whores to win rounds. But here are some things that have helped me. Try playing more defensively. Be a squad leader, find a good spot to camp and cover your team mates rushing into a point. If you feel like you cant hit anything, practice calm firing. Get a your favorite DMR or a Sniper (scout with straight pull is my preference) and practice aiming. Don't shoot unless you know your going to hit someone. Either by leading the target or waiting for a victim to stop running for 1 second. Work your way up to using 1x scope. If you like use flir/invr Learn your gun. Practice hip fire and scoped fire against a wall 25-100 ft out. Look at the hole patterns, then equip the appropriate muzzle and grip for you gun. Also knowing how much recoil a gun has will help you do controlled burst fire. If a gun has a lot of recoil, switching it to single fire mode is your best chance. If you are not looking into unlocking everything in the game then just stick with the same weapons. Constantly switching around will it harder to remember how the gun feels. Heck I was made fun of a lot for using a SKS with bipod and that ugly Chinese silencer, but damn I mastered that bullet drop. If you are into vehicles, well I cant help you there as I suck with them. But for tank's I've learned working with CDU_Gunny is your best bet for high score. Flying? Yeah no tips there, sorry. Pre-Firing, very dangerous in hardcore but if I know someone is around the corner and I have LMG, I'm shooting before I see the bad guy. Before running out in the open constantly check all the hiding spots. Corners, Towers, crates, cells, etc. Even if you saw teammate run by safely, a bad guy named SlashDailyman could of just finished reloading. Play some TDM to practice your close quarters madness skills. I hope this helps a little. Like bullboy said, just keep playing and you'll get better. You'll always have good and bad rounds.
  10. Uhh year old news? How about the 200$ AMD RX480 instead? 290/390 performance but with less power and lower price.
  11. I would first try running DXSETUP in battlefield 4 folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\__Installer\directx\redist\DXSETUP.exe) Then of course I have to ask, did you install latest nvidia video drivers? If you havn't tried this already, do the 'Repair Game' option in origin. Lastly, IMO Driver Booster 3 is crapware. Get rid of it.
