  1. Thing is this. The people competing in the esports type events etc are insanely good. Not that they are unbeatable mind you just insanely good. They win most of their matches against normal players and are net positive in wins against the other players on their lvl. The Ninjas, Dakotahz, CDNthe3rds, etc also make a good bit of money streaming Fortnite so not sure if they could get persuaded to dedicate the time to esports but who knows. Even though the game is free to play Epic are doing microtransactions in the best way possible. They are selling skins/emotes that people actually want to buy so it would not surprise me at all that they make that much. Fortnite has at least 45 million players and over 3 million concurrent users. So 1 mil a day isn't that far of a stretch IMHO.
  2. So it's a reskinned BF1. Definitely puts it on the wait and see list. Heck even moves it down a few spots because if that is indeed what it is then its the same old issues in a brand new game.
  3. Ok F that. can you imagine a horsefly at 400 km/h. It would like being shot with a 45
  4. How many cups of rice to get to top speed
  5. Will have to do this at home. Battlenet still has my WoW encryption key associated with it. Hope that thing still works hahaha.
  6. Notice the conspicuous absence or the name Ali HowSOON ™ in the senior producer slot..
  7. Ha! Read the comments on these. The hate for EA is real. I get it companies need to make money to survive. Personally I was cool with the premium pass model, but I get why some weren't. The thing they dont seem to get is that the way they are bankrolling EA comes off, and to some extent is, seen as a huge ethical lapse. They are seen as crooks because the loot boxes are RNG. I will admit that I have purchased cosmetic items in a game, PUBG for sure, however what I did not do was spend that money on RNG crates. I went to the Steam market and bought exactly what I wanted. No RNG, no gambling just a simple transaction. I would be perfectly fine with this type of monetization which is exactly what Fortnite does. They have certain items up daily / weekly and you buy credits to buy the items. Granted this is a free to play game so I look at my few transactions there as the cost of the game. In a $60 plus game micro transactions have less of a place IMHO. That said if the cost of the development and support is more than $60 bucks and you haven't raised the price of your games then that sounds like poor business management to me. Would a hundred buck game suck? Well yes and no. If any future content was to be paid then yes I would have an issue but if the game came out and all planned DLC for the game was included in the cost then yeah I'd drop a hundy on a good game. As it stands EA has backed themselves into a corner with Battlefront II. They did away with the Premium Program and all DLC is free so now it's kind of expected and if BF5 DLC is to be paid they will catch shit over that also ANY monetization via loot boxes will be seen in the exact same light the original Battlefront Loot Crates have been seen in. I personally dont see any way they can win in this situation. Forget it if they screw over the communities and clans in the BF as they did in BF1. At that point they can pretty much write off BF as anything other than a casual shooter and for damn sure write it off as a top seller. The clans and communities were what kept the previous BF titles running. Hell there are still BF3 servers running.
  8. Rogue, you forgot the ™. SOON™! The one meme on the BF forums I can take credit for lol
  9. But apparently not presets and actual stuff that would make the game worth the time and money spent on it. Lesson learned.
  10. I would say that EA hosted servers would be fine IF and only IF they learn from the previous debacle. Granular control of the game settings within the in game menu. KNOWLEDGEABLE 24/7 support and not some drone who answers a phone during business hrs only. A WORKING server browser. Presets for HC, Official and Classic game modes that don't hide the servers. You probably won't see PROCON make a return as the guy who developed it works for EA now. HUGE conflict of interest That said since he does work for them the knowledge and skill set are there they just didn't make use of them. I would like to think that they know how badly they screwed the pooch with the last servers. Whether of not they actually care is a whole other story.
  11. yeah kinda hacked me off as well. Its astounding that they put all this money into a show and then stick it in a shit time slot.
  12. Jebus were gettin old lol
  13. Well lets see.... RBD gone +1 Attachments +2 BF3/4 Style Vehicles +3 Character customization... meh No news on Player server support and who will host it... - eleventy billion Yep still firmly on the no preorder and no premium purchase spectrum. They are being exceedingly tight lipped on this just like with BF1, even moreso. I would HOPE they learned their lesson with BF1s abysmal server support and not developing the server component concurrently but I somehow doubt it.
  14. I realized I had not downloaded the theme song, You Know My Name by Chris Cornell, and learned to play it. First try: Second run, Mission accomplished.
  15. I collect way to many of these screwing off at work. Just sayin.
  16. This will remove the whole "OMG YOU NERFED XXXXXXX! Fuck You! EAT DDOS EA/Bioware/ETC." unskilled abuser. It will do very little for someone actually knows what the hell they are doing but a positive nonetheless.
  17. Well there's yer problem. Everyone knows that you have to post on reddit and or Twitter to get anyone at DICE's attention. Superfluous profanity often helps I have found.
  18. Larry, Yer gonna make some dude a fine wife one day. Thanks for all ya do pal.

I'd rather see BF1966. I still remember flying around in the UH1's while nam era tunes blared through the speakers. I said 1966 cause I dont wanna admit I was born the next yr lol.
