Patch 1.30 Official Change List Leaked?
Found this on a website. Looks authentic to me though, but I am still snooping around the net for more info. PATCH 1.30 OFFICIAL CHANGE LIST · NEW FEATURES - Air dropped vehicles: Squad members can now send a request up the chain of command for a vehicle to be dropped at their location. - Co-op: Co-op Mode allows you to play Single Player levels on the Internet and LAN with both Al controlled bots and human players. Several new options have been created that will allow the server creator to modify how the bots behave in game. Number of Bots: This setting allows you to determine the total number of bots that will spawn in game. Bot Ratio: This setting allows you to determine the percentage of total bots that will spawn for each team. For example, setting this value to 25 means that 25% of the total bots will spawn in Team 1, and 75% in Team 2. Team 1 is always the MEC, Chinese, or their allies, while Team 2 is always the USA, EU, and their allies. Bot Difficulty: This setting determines the skill level of the bots. 10 is easiest, 100 is the most difficult. - Default Kit Selection: The kit that you used last is remembered at the beginning of the round and between maps. · BUG FIXES & GAME PLAY TWEAKS — Fixed issues with remote console and linux server — Prevented ban list from being cleared in the event of a server crash. — Fixed the bug where helicopters abandoned in the air would continue flying. — Fixed issue with player not properly ranking up on servers where they continuously play. — If the player joins a squad while dead, the player will not be able to use the squad leader as a spawn point until they have respawned once. — Flag Capture bar now reacts accurately to players entering the capture radius. — Fixed bug where friendly vehicles showed as valid targets — Friendly Vehicle lock: Lock-on weapons do not lock on to friendly vehicles. The box with an X through it will still appear, but a lock tone will not sound and then if fired, the missile will not track the friendly target. — Fixed bug that altered mini map functionality — Adjusted missile count on BF2SF helicopters. — Fixed bug with Special Forces rank names. — Fixed repairing HIJD for the engineer when in a vehicle — Added custom messages for server so that private messages may be sent directly to a player. Messages may be sent from the server using the following command in the console. hostsgl_sendTextMessage (playerid, channelid, typeid. text, flags ) Here is an example: host.sgl_sendTextMessage ( 0, 14, 1, “Message goes here”, 0 ) — Adjusted award criteria — Added deterrent system against alternative ranking — Fixed Linux server crash: A ranked server that can no longer connect to the GameSpy backend will become an unranked server. — Fixed a client crash after entering 300 characters into the IP address using “connect to IP” — Fixed a tech hang when creating a single player account from an offline account — Fixed crash when switching from BF2 to BF2:SF (or vice versa)

After reading the ROE, I discovered that TK punish must be turned "on", so I turned it back on. Players will now be kicked after 50 TKs.

Get rid of those irritating BF2 movies
I deleted my last post regarding this issue, because the instructions were for an older version of BF2 and did not work wiith the last patch. JPennStar pointed out the best way to get rid of the intro movies was to delete the movies themselves. I've attached a pic that shows you where to go and what to delete. As you can see, I left two of the movies there because they provide the background movie for the menus, and it looked stupid withoput them. Note: you will need to go to Regular BF2 go here and delete the movies as shown in the attachment: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies Special Forces go here and delete ALL of the movies: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\xpack\movies

Battlefield 2 Ranked server requirements
Battlefield Ranked Server Rules & Policies Dice and EA are limiting trusted server software distribution to our network of ?Trusted Partners? in order to protect the integrity of the code system. We want everyone to be able to play Ranked Servers if they choose. It is imperative that all of these Rules and Policies be adhered to in order to create a level playing field for everyone. Server Configuration Something to be aware of with Ranked Servers is that they will have a number of settings hard-coded so that users cannot adjust them. These settings were all set as below to keep the competition on Ranked servers balanced across all providers. Min Players: 16 sv.password = empty string. Ranked servers may not be password protected. Ranked servers are intended to be available to all players. sv.numPlayersNeededToStart = (6 for maxPlayers 16, 10 for 32, 10 for 64) sv.spawnTime 15 sv.manDownTime 15 sv.ticketRatio 100 sv.teamRatioPercent 100 sv.punkBuster 1 Though it is not required, we also request that all servers run Friendly Fire at 100% for all settings, including mines (sv.friendlyFireWithMines). Ranked servers must be entirely "pure" with no customization outside of the default content shipped by DICE/EA. Ranked servers will not be allowed to run Mods or Custom Maps, as we cannot ensure the balance of these components. Custom maps are never permitted. BF2CC may be used to access and adjust server settings. We do permit map sizes to be defined independently of maximum players and minor admin enforced changes in game play behavior. These changes need to be explicitly announced either in the server description or somewhere on the loading screen. Whenever there is a new patch released Ranked Partners are required to upgrade their servers. Ranked servers are not to run upcoming content early nor out of date content. Exploit/Hacker Reports Please provide screenshots and reports of stat exploiters or players using hacks in servers. There are 3 possible routes for reports. EA Customer Support: http://support.ea.com/ Battlefield Ranked Servers forum: http://www.bf2rankedservers.com/forums/ Punkbuster: In the event you find a cheat, hack or exploit email what info you have to research@evenbalance.com Rules of Engagement [RoE]Beyond the server configuration settings there are many in-game policies for ranked servers. We refer to these as the Rules of Engagement, and they are managed by EA and Combat Studios on the BF2 Ranked Servers site. Due to the dynamic nature of BF2 this is a living document and subject to revisions. In the same forum there is a location to debate and discuss the RoE. These are rules driven by the community and thus feedback is imperative to keeping the RoE on track and fair.
