I was assigned to a "Security Forces" squadron (U.S. Armry calls them Military Police [MP]). I was a "Law Enforcement Specialist" by trade.

I'm inbetween jobs at the moment. Prior to that, I worked 4 years as a Systems Admin in the IT field, and 24 years prior to that I served and retired from the United States Air Force.

Download and install Steam [here] - After installinig Steam, create a new Steam account. I can't remember at which stage it asks you, but it will prompt you for your CD key (the one that came with your copy of Counter-Strike Retail version) - Log into your newly crerated Steam account. - Then right-click on the Steam icon (lower right tray), and select the "Games" dialog box (it might already be open). - Right-click on "Half-Life" and select "install the game" (you are authorized to download and install "Half-Life" because it is the "game engine" that drives CS, DoD, and Firearms (to name a few). - Once Half-Life is insalled, download and install "Firearms" [here] Thats it! ...you are all done except for setting your controls, video, and sound settings. Have fun and enjoy!
