I'm doing one last final upgrade for my computer I'm gonn get 512mb of ddr ram bringing me up to 1gb. My only question is, do I need to have 1gb of ram from the same company, or can I just get 512mb from one place and 512mb from another :?: thx 8)

i'll probably get sound blaster audigy 2 something. . . now all i need to do is buy another 512mb of ddr ram bringing me up to 1gb so i will have the ultimate gaming experience

i'm thinking about getting a new sound card, but I want to know a few things before I buy one. . .I don't know how good my sound card is now, I know it uses the realtek ac'97 audio drivers, and it came as part of the Intel 845G chipset, i think it is pretty bad. Is there a way to find out the specs of your current sound card, there has to be a program out there also, will a sound card increase my performace in games, because I heard that it was supposed to help a lot because sound uses up a lot of system resources. if anyone can recommend a new sound card for me that is around $120 that would be much appreciated also, just to be safe is it hard to install a new sound card. I had no trouble installing my video card, but is it harder with a sound card. I could always have a pro do it, but I'm hoping it isn't too hard to do.i have the hewlett packard pc model 753n if you guys need that info for some reason :? i don't wanna buy a soundcard and then find out my computer doesn't have the right slot for one 8) from what i've seen so far, if I'm just looking for some nice Soundblaster Audigy. . . although i did seem some usb sound devices, dont know what they were though :?

i got it two days ago. . .P4 2.53 ghz512mb ddr ramradeon 9600XTI can play it on medium settings wiht 2X AA and all of the special effects, shadows, and all that other stuff turned to high.It is kinda scary because monsters will be hiding in the shadows and pop out at you, and sometimes monsters are waiting behind the doors, and the second you open them they attack you and it catches you off guard :Dits a great game and you should try it out if your computer is good enough.

i have doom 3, it is more than just nice :Dthe game is really scary, and i recommend everyone to try this game out 8)

i recently just got an error where my pc could get far enough into setup where i could edit bios, but the windows loading wouldn't show up, my computer would just restartall i could do was reformat, so i did, and now my computer works great
