I played on a couple, couldn't really tell a difference. The game mentioned something about setting your framerate higher than the tick rate. How does that work? It seems like I have to bump the resolution down a lot to get to 75Hz, and that's the highest it goes.

Anyone interested (helping) organize or participating in a small squad CQB BF4 ladder (3v3 maybe?) My thought was we could have signups then have a few of us break off to a private server for a match or two a night, maybe broadcast it on twitch. I think we have a big enough community we can advertise on the main server and get some folks to squad up and take us on. The real question is, "Why are you using the mortar in the first place?" haha While y'all are running around killing each other easily, some of us like to find the sillier games to play.

I'd suggest getting involved in a community to keep your energy level high, and not getting too overwhelmed by the complexity. I'm sure you can rip off a lot of this stuff from open source projects and elsewhere, and weave in your own creativity as time permits.
