  3. As far as I know you'll need a legitimate key. The system requires you to log in before you can play, like BF2. You can actually buy the game for under $20, though...
  4. I think he meant to say "I was wondering if you all had removed them from your site"...
  5. It looks like EA is wanting to make people less interested in playing this game so they will buy the expansion pack... wouldn't be the first time this has happened... I'm surprised they don't introduce a bunch of fun-killing gameplay changes at the same time, like Novalogic did with Joint Ops....
  6. hey duck mugger, long time no see!
  7. Nice job. The second one reminds me of the map Gator made for Battlefield: Vietnam.
  8. The commander is one player on each team who basically sits the regular combat out to direct the team's troops in battle. The player is self-nominated, and if there is more than one vying for the position, the one with the highest rank gets the job. In addition to a live "satellite feed" of a map and imagery, this player has access to a "scan" that identifies all enemy locations, as well as a UAV that he can place that alerts the team of enemy locations in a small area, artillery and supply drops. Each of these correlates to an object on the map (such as the UAV trailer) that can be destroyed by the enemy and would then require repair by an engineer. It's an interesting challenge, and can be rewarded with commander points and extra rank points based on the team's average score if your team wins.
  9. No, not really... [/troll]
  10. Strategy and thinking game? Tell that to the retards that always run in front of my tank... LOL!
  11. Ack. Did it record your other stats?
  12. I kind of agree with Ripper, to an extent. The only problem with this is if you're into the stats for comparing them others-- it makes it tough. For example, I know I earned my 140+ knife kills "the hard way". Now if I compare to see where that puts me in the total knife kill rankings (I don't think that stat exists, but still...) then it's impossible to tell because some people farm with their other clan mates, and still others get all of their kills only when going against others with knives. It makes it easier for them to get kills so the comparison rankings are skewed. I'm more into just tracking my own stats though, so I don't mind that much that other people don't earn their points the same way. In the end, the game stats are fun for me because I like to get my own stats up, not because I like to say I'm better than somebody else. At this point, I say if you have the expert knife badge, you didn't do it without help. I think it's quite impossible to do during the course of a regular match with uninflated ticket ratios. If you do have it, though, congrats. You got another shiny thing on your medal rack. Yippee for you
  13. I bet it will go through as long as you have 18 kills in one round after you reach 500 kills. [snip]
  14. Well, you've turned this into a political discussion but I agree with you so it's OK. Haha. I think a time limit is probably a good personal practice to get into, but if I have a weekend and nothing to do, I don't think somebody should tell me I can't play a game I paid/pay for. Maybe a weekly time limit would be more appropriate. Although, I expect it'll drive up demand for the games, and those who are really into them will just play multiple games, or connect to foreign or private servers.
  15. I bet it works always, and you just don't always hit it... Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately with some squads that get in the blackhawk, they move too fast and are too far away to consistently hit the chopper at all, let alone hit a particular small area on it.
  16. Hey Flip, I think maybe you should just not be commander!
  17. The commander has the ability to use a satellite feed to see all enemies on the battlefield, to rain artillery on their heads, and to direct squad leaders (who sometimes listen) to defend points when they are under attack, minutes before they turn grey notifying the rest of the troops. Brains or not, soldiers know very little about what's going on across the map. Anybody with a brain knows the commander is a valuable asset, and to pay attention to what they say!
  18. So you do it yourself. Thanks. :flame:
  19. You probably knew this already, but if not you can turn off sigs entirely. Just got to User CP->Edit Options->Thread Display Options, and uncheck Show Signatures. Much easier to read. Kind of makes the "hey check out my cool new sig" posts a little irrelevant, though. :flame:
  20. nice avatar!
  21. just google it man, google knows more than any paramedic
  22. In that case, cool...
  23. Wait, you went to the car dealership today, as in to buy a Maserati? I would like to call BS on that one, if that's what you're saying...
  24. Or BTD might accidentally run into you and TK you. Hahaha! Welcome to the game...
