Laptops just aren't made for gaming. Either spend 3 grand on a new "gaming laptop" or drop $500 on a system that can run BF2 decently.

If you had that account name in the demo Caste, you need to retreive it because apparently they carried the accounts over. I had to do that with mine.
  3. If it's a closed beta, aren't you not supposed to be talking about it?
  4. Let's see. I spent 30 hours on 1 map... x12 = 360 hours. That should be worth my $50. LOL Settings look good. Any reason why FF could not just be turned off? I have a feeling there will be lots of TKing to get in planes and choppers the first day :peace: Also, any idea if the Gulf of Oman has a 64-player version? If I'm not mistaken it's only 16 or 32 on the demo right?
  5. There's a copyright at the bottom with a link.
  6. Oh man you English people - started the language and can't even speak it anymore! LOL. Nice motorsickle anyway.
  7. I installed the latest official drivers from Nvidia, and that did not fix nasty block shadows around the models. After I installed the ones that came with the demo, everything worked fine.
  8. Does the demo work? I can't see that the graphics support would be any different for the actual release.
  9. Why not turn Friendly Fire off? Or maybe the demo doesn't allow that setting?
  10. I too hope to see an "official" response on this, although I'm not holding my breath, and am guessing that this thread will be deleted within seconds. Or perhaps somebody will spend an hour on a harsh message ("Listen here you little...") that's not open for comment, and then the thread will be locked. Let the games begin! :peace:
  11. That's cool, we'll probably do CS:S and some regular DOD, maybe some FA too! Prolly will do some Swat4, but we have a "universal product license for LAN parties". Maybe some AA too, which is free and will probably run just fine.

I have fun with the multiplayer, but found some rampant team killing. The VIP mode is neat because you don't actually kill him like in AA, you have to capture him and hold him for 2 minutes first, and SWAT can come and rescue him. There is a group of us who have a blast playing in co-op mode, but it's kind of hit-or-miss when we play :peace: Be sure to check out the realism mod sometime, you walk faster, the shotguns work, and there are a few other assorted goodies.
  13. Well fatty you take up like 4 slots right? LOL
  14. Sunday, May 15th 11:00AM-11:00PM. I live on the West Side of Indianapolis, IN outside of the 465 loop. $10 for pizza and drinks. All are welcome.
  15. Never heard of the second one... is it a cartoon too?
  16. Sweet, we can almost fill a 64-player server on day 1 - LOL
  17. Nah, that's just where the quote came from
  18. It comes from the FA forum rule "If flamed, do not flame back. Simply say "Thank you for playing Firearms!" and move on."
  19. I wasn't gonna cause that's a pretty neat stat. But.... look where it went. :o
  20. Ah, so that's where you've been...?
  21. Hey, me too :o
  22. Good points Mac. This guy is interviewing for a faculty appointment, so the presentation is like a job interview, and likely an extremely competitive one. It must be that time of year... I had one come through my inbox the other day as well. The concepts are simple enough here, but there sure is some fluffy language. I guess that's why they get paid the big bucks .

    poog!
  24. They were doing stupid stuff on camera. I think we're supposed to laugh at them.
