Choppers weren't overpowering. Each class/vehicle had it's own prey. An RPG or a Stinger could be used to take down a chopper. The stingers in DC did not work correctly because they are unable to get a lock on system in the engine the game uses. The stingers in BF2 will be able to lock on. Also, any airplane could easily take down a chopper. It's all about the team work in BF. If you use the correct vehicles, team work, communication, you are going to win. Like I said, everybody was hunter and prey. After you learn how to do it, it's easy. I could hit them with RPG's all day long. The Stinger missle fired in a straight line so it was especially easy to hit them with that weapon. Try hitting an F16 at full speed bank with an RPG It did take a few rockets to take down a take, about 3 I believe. It is different in BF2 from the videos I have seen. I saw a 203 round take out a small APC in one of the videos. BF2 is all about teamwork, just like BF/BF:V/DC. These are not really lone wolf friendly. If one team has total teamwork expect to be dominated by that team.

Sometimes I wish I was in law enforcement, but not just a patrol officer, something along the lines of what you do State. I know my computer job is much safer, but doing what you do day in and day out must feel more rewarding, as in, taking the scum off the streets.

Me and wookie are mainly into sound systems for our vehicles. Wookie did have a BADASS 89 Mustang GT at one time. Thing could spank the crap out of Cobras lol. I think he's planning in the future to get another one, 89 to 93 body style.

Finally got a chance to watch the video, AMAZING! One thing I didn't like, the Commander mode.... He stated you can see the action across the whole map... I don't know about it. Guess we'll have to see it in action, but it doesn't sound like a good idea.

Defcon, you could have a 10mbit connection and still lag. It's all about the route you take to the server. If you hit some bad hops... game over. The biggest problem I have with shooting in CSS is when you are right up on a person. You could be 1 foot from the person, unload a full magazine into his chest/back and have him not die. It seems sometimes the weapon actually goes through the player model.

YES! I can't wait for it to come out. I enjoyed BF1942 and LOVED Desert Combat. I can't wait to see the ammount of team work we put together. Thats the big difference between CSS and BF2, more persistant team work in BF2.

Well, I'm kinda on "break time!" from CSS. Haven't really been having fun with it to much, but I do still play it about an hour or so a day.

The obvious ones are a given, you don't need to watch them. If you really have to spec someone you are going to be running a demo on them to submit to SteamBans as well and then you need to be in spec mode. Do like the rest of us do. 1. Bring up the options panel and change your name but do not hit OK 2. Bring up the servers list and get ready to rejoin the game 3. Disconnect 4. Hit OK to change your name 5. Hit JOIN to rejoin game I do this all the time when I'm going to run a demo on a suspected hacker. It takes all of 10 seconds to do. The only time you are going to spec a person inbetween rounds is if they are so obvious its pathetic. The really sneaky ones you always need to drop into spec mode. Anyways, I feel ghosting is more of a problem than hackers.

It has nothing to do with being "leet" Ktown. And if you want to see how much damage you did to the enemy bring down your console and read the damage list.

When you die, you are locked to only your team mates. Dropping to Spectatur Mode is still free roaming. We already have the rule for people not to sit in spec mode.

In the past we have talked about fade to black. No one really liked that idea, I didn't either but it would help. So instead of FTB why not use lock spec camera to team mates only after death? I understand we need to watch players sometimes, but that is what spec mode is for.

Thanks for the props B-Cell! :flame: Compound is entirely mood dependant for me... sometimes I feel like it, other times I don't. I normally always play CT on the map as well or try to. What I normally do is spam 2 smokes left and 2 smokes right and one smoke center. I only do this after saving up a good ammount of money and if our fellow team mates are not smoking either. That's pretty much all to this map, smoke it up, rush right side with majority, have atleast 2 hop the wall and get 2 to cover the left side. If the T's catch on to this tactic, mix it up. There are a few tricks in this map, but hard to explain. I'm at work and would need to load up the map to explain them in detail. Easy tricks just to spot enemies, etc.
