yeah really. I would still play BF2142 if they had the .50BMG like on BF2. Can you download new models and skins for 2142? I love customizing games and making them completely different. Thats one of the things that kept me playing CSS for so long.

psha Geneva convention shmeneva convention. I dont think it is inhumane to kill somebody with a .50BMG. I think it is more humane than sitting there capping them with a low caliber rifle untill they have 5 holes in them and bleed to death. I mean really, if you get hit by a .50BMG you are most likely going to be dead real fast.

the point of having it is to take out targets behind walls and to take out armored targets. and good luck finding a well trained sniper let alone sneaking up on one.

I dont know if yall have heard about this show or not. It is called (as the title there suggests) Future Weapons. It comes on at 9:00 Eastern Time (-5 GMT) on the Discovery Channel. I am watching it right now for the first time, and I must say it is most excellent. The host was a Navy Seal for 10 years and he is kinda crazy in a creepy way. Its not that he is all gung-ho but he talks real quietly. Anyways on the episode today they showed the development of the new SMAW. One of the new rounds is awesome. It penetrates buildings and has a shot fuse so that it explodes a bit after it goes through the outer wall. That way it detonates inside the building and causes little collateral damage. They destroyed pretty sturdy wood and cinder block house with it. It basically just pushed all four of the walls out a few meters so the roof collapsed down and the walls toppled over. Very nice. They also went over the new AS50 rifle that the Brits are developing. It is a semi automatic .50BMG sniper rifle. It is nearly as accurate as modern bolt action sniper rifles, and can accurately fire 5 rounds in about 1.5 seconds. It takes out concrete like nothing, of course. It also penetrated a steel plate that was about .5 inches thick, went a few feet, then went through another .5 inches of steel with almost no deviation from its original path. Pretty awesome. Next week they are looking at the new types of body armor and a camera that can be shot out of a grenade launcher to give infantry a view of the battlefield from above.

I havent played 2142 for a bit because I got tired of it, but Im gonna give my opinion. I think that a good chopper pilot/gunner combo is one of the most powerful weapons in the game. I know that I have played against a few of these and they more or less shut down our team's vehicles, not to mention taking out infantry caught out in the open. and personally I love to have a gunner. They pretty much double the effectiveness of the gunship. I try to give my gunner ample time to shoot at a target and always flew above enemy air vehicles so that my gunner could get some good shot on them. It is a extremely easy to kill infantry in the gunner position of the gunship. It is a lot less efficient to use rockets on the old ground pounders!

Daaaa bears! Im glad that they won. The Patriots get the Seahawk's 1st round draft pick next draft so the worse the hawks do the better I like the bears and all but I think that the saints are going to win the NFC. I would like to see Da Bears pull it off though.

let me go off on a parallel here Chippy and be optimistic for the old Pats. This sets up Vinatieri to miss a potential game winner against NE as time runs out next week. OR This sets up the rookie Gostkowski to kick a game winner for NE as time runs out next week. I am glad its the Pats vs Colts. Its come to be kinda a tradition, only this time it is in Indy. yes they were late. Even without that interception though the Pats were up by two touchdowns.

yeah it was a pretty good game, but I feel like the Patriots controlled it the whole time. I mean the only TD the Jets scored was on a long pass play where there was just a gap in the coverage. The Patriots stopped them for field goals three other times, one of those being because Corey Dillon fumbled at about the 20 yard line. Plus the Pats had pressure on Pennington a lot of the time. I just hope the Patriots play their best next Sunday because I think whoever wins that game will be the next Super Bowl champion.

Yes. 3 Super Bowls in 4 years....man that is HORRIBLE! Not to mention getting to the playoffs for what, 6 years in a row? I love the Pats :thumbsup: When they played the Eagles in the SB two years ago I got to go and I met the players as well. It was neato And I think the Patriots/Chargers game will be a very good game. If Brady is on and the O-line blocks like they did against the Jets then it could be REAL good for the Pats Oh yeah not to mention that Belichick (with the Pats) is 2nd only in playoff win percentage to Vince Lombardi himself... Marty Schottenheimer, on the other hand, is 1-12 in the postseason...

So old Billy B. (Bill Belichick) led New England to a crushing 37-16 victory over Eric Mangini and the Jets. Muhaha. Too bad the darn Colts won. The Chiefs offense played like crap. Absoulte crap. But anyways, the Pats need to pull a win out next week against the Chargers. Could be hard to stop LT, but if anyone can do it, its Belichick I say. The Belichicks are friends of my family, so if the Patriots make it to the SuperBowl this year I might get tickets. LETS GO PATRIOTS!

I think that the NFC is extremely weak this year compared to the AFC. 'Nuff said.
