  1. I'm gonna have to look into this game....Let you know something real soon!!
  2. NOTHING in this world is free. Even on the 'Price is Right', you have to pay the sales tax. Geez, how old am I?
  3. I'm more than certain we'll have the tourney mode/server running this weekend for unofficial scrims so you can participate Shotty.
  4. I'm welcoming back anyone that gave up on COD4 because of it's "shallow" game play. Now that we started playing in the COD4 TGL league, some of us have been practicing on our TGL server. Low and behold, our practicing has actually turned into some fun scrims. So far it is just (=A=) players but the past few nights have ended in palm-sweating, nerve wrecking, butt clinchin good times!!! :banana:It's a whole new ball of wax playing under a strict set of rules in tournament mode. It is also really helping us learn strategies for our matches on Thursday night. Something we've been strongly lacking. Feel free to stop by tonight and check it out. Find us in Vent tonight for more details.
  5. Sounds like some "Hardcore" training Des. Thanks for the insight. I'm sure you had fun doing it!!
  6. Mrs. Matador gave a big "Roger that"!!!
  7. El_Matador replied to DEFCON's topic in Gaming
As long as you weren't wit da VC!!!!
  8. I still don't understand what the 9/10 is all about. Just another way to rob from the little guy!!!
  9. Was the news story taken from the BEE MOVIE storyline? I can't bee-lieve (haha) they made an entire anim movie out of this. Very shallow storyline. Kids liked it though....of course.
  10. Well the second pair of buds that I bought have now been tossed in the trash. Not because they didn't sound good, but because my wife ran over them in the driveway (of course I dropped them getting out of my car). You can laugh now. So I couldn't resist. I bought some Motorola HT820's. I know they're the older model but TigerDirect HAD them for $40. I think I bought the last pair because they are now out of stock. Needless to say, they are SWEET!!! Comfortable, good freq response, and WIRELESS. They also have a wired connection for my Zen. Perfect. Now, if I can just keep them off of the street, I suspect I'll be keeping these for a while.
  11. I guess if they were truly known for increased MPG, they would be selling like hotcakes these days.
  12. That reminds me of Monsters, Inc. "We got a 2915"!!!
  13. Dude, I wanna know some answers as well. Good choice in exhaust. I'm looking at the 50 series Flowmaster dual exhuast for my 85 Elky. Engine needs a good tune-up first. I'll see what I can find out.
  14. Here's a full description http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinco_de_mayo To put it plainly, the Mexican army back in the 1800's was not a very formidable force and lost battles quite often. The French were trying to invade and rule Mexico in the 1860's and were do a good job. The battle of Puebla (on the 5th of May) was a major victory for Mexico and was kind of a turning point in the war. Everyone celebrated that day as a symbol of pride and heritage. Unfortunately, the French won the war a year later and took over the land. Mexico eventually won their land back and gave the French the boot. By the way, Cinco de Mayo has nothing to do with Mexico's independence. Independence day occured on 16 September, referred to as Dies y Seis de Septiembre. When you wish someone a happy Cinco de Mayo, you are more or less saying "Git 'er dun".
  15. Happy Cinco everybody!!
  16. We had a blast last night. Defcon, Slashdawg, Gator and I went head-to-head on some Game Warden with a few pubbers. Really felt like the good ole days!!
  17. Anyone up for some Seige of Khe Sahn? Three of us in server right now.
  18. Is it all game sound (menu music and actual guns blasting) or just the vehicle music? I doubt it's nothing simple like default keys jacked up, right?. I'll take a peek at my install to see if anything sticks out in my mind. On another note, be sure to let us know when your BFV is cocked and locked so we can have a BFV night!!!!
  19. I received a gift from my mother-in-law about a month ago. She had it sitting in her back yard collecting (even more) rust. Instead of buying a replacement vehicle for my wife's recent lease return, I decided to accept this car in an attempt to 'git er dun'. I'd been on the fence whether to do an OEM restoration or go full custom. I think custom will win out. 1985 Chevy El Camino SS 305 cu in (5.0L) 4-bbl V8 4-spd Automatic Updates/repairs so far Replaced front brake pads and adjusted rear shoes Replaced all four struts Replaced all bushings on the sway bar Recharged R-34 (A/C works but still has a leak) Replaced oil and filter (of course) Re-wired and added new switches for power windows and power door locks Rebuilt transmission Replaced flywheel Replaced stock rally wheels (yes the granny hubs too) with aluminum Z28 mag wheels (early 80's style) and new tires My father-in-law and brother-in-law put in a lot of the work to help get her going. Now I have to wait for some good down time to tear into the engine, since this is my primary mode of transportation. I also want to add a few more upgrades before I put it in the body shop. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Last but not least...the pictures....yes, you can laugh at the first picture. Definitely a work in progress. So far she's running like a champ! Interesting tidbit of info..... Per the original 1985 Chevy Elky specs, the 305 V8 puts out a whopping 150 hp @ 4k rpms (net) and 240 ft-lb of torque @ 2k rpms. Yes that's right, read 'em and weep....150 horses!!! Woohoo!!! /monthly_06_2011/post-891-130810226406_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-891-130810226423_thumb.jpg
  20. Welcome to the squad. Please provide your address so we can come over and brand the (=A=) tag on your arm.
  21. I was wondering what the heck this was about. Scared me for a sec. Thought that our demise was near. Funny though, seems like cycles keep repeating themselves.
  22. Way to go Til. Awesome achievement!!!
  23. Makes me hungry. It also has a bit of a Fruit-o-the-loom feel.
  24. There are a few laboratory rats out there that are wiping the sweat from their brows.
  25. Just call me when the battle is over...I'll be in the car.
