3 large for a pair of buds??!!@@?? Do they take a check?

I kinda want to stay in the $40-50 range. I stopped by the store today and bought some Phillips buds like the ones Eskimo posted. These buds are not bad at all for $20. The lows were nice but the highs are not quite the best. The guy at the counter reminded me that I could bring them back if I wasn't satisfied. So I'll probably keep shopping around just to compare apples. The only complaint that I have against the Phillips is that the "carrying case" was a small piece of plastic that doesn't carry much. I really enjoy great sound so I'm very interested about what other buds offer. I'll keep you all posted. The CX300s may be next, just to scratch that itch.

Thanks for the suggestions. Price is definitely a factor. Great find. I'm leaning a little toward the Sony Fontopia MDR-EX51LP now. They all have the specs I'm looking for, but I'm not too sure about the behind-the-neck design of the rest (one wire side longer than the other). I've had some of those in the past and they always tickle my cheek (because I use them towards my chest). Now to find the best price...... Also maybe some with a more reliable cable. Seems that a cheap wire is common throughout the industry.

Can anyone recommend a good set of buds? I lost the buds that came with my Zen Vision W. I'm not too sad about it cause they sounded very flat anyway. I'm looking for some canal fitting buds because the old ones kept falling out of my ears. From what I understand they also have a better passive noice-cancelling feature. A very good frequency response is a must, on the low side at least. I was looking at some Senheiser CX300B's but I know there are so many more out there. Preferably none that have the in-line filter/power gizmo hanging on the cord.

My mouth started watering last night when I got in Vent and saw a bunch of you in the BF2 channel. I fired up the game only to find that I was too late, everyone had left the server. I won't be online till 9:30 CST tonight so if anyone wants to do some BF2 again......

I was paying around $300/month to drive 100 miles r/t to work. As of December, I joined a van pool costing $35/mo and my fuel bill was cut down to less than $100/mo. I win!!!! If there's one issue that I agree with Obama (don't mean to stir the political pot) it is that Exxon is not going to easily give up their $11 billion profits without a fight. They will push lobbyists in Washington to the extreme to keep what they have. Exxon may not (exactly) set the price for oil prices, but they sure are not complaining. I worked in corporate aviation for many years, even on ExxonMobil's aircraft. As of two years ago, they owned a fleet of over 70 private aircraft (i.e. jets and helicopters) with many more on order.

Interesting point OneShot. BF2 kicked some serious tail. Alot more roles to play (e.g. vehicles). I can't necessarily say that I was disappointed with COD4 though. It has some really good game play and nowhere near as buggy as the Battlefield series IMO. Now that everyone is a 5 star Commander, I can see COD4 eventually getting boring.

We'll just start a line at one end of the map and take turns popping a cap in him. Just like hitting a pi?ata.
