in Firearms source forums here is the Bad news:( When x^18 and Issa approached me, the WaW Team Leader, about specifically using the name "Firearms" to make Firearms: Source, I literally responded with, "Meh. Whatever." At the time, World at War was (and still is) locked in an argument over the control of the Firearms name and legacy. The involvement of other parties and the course of the argument pretty much wiped out my or Ben's ability to be the definitive voice on how the Firearms name should be used. When x^18 and Issa came to me for approval, "Meh. Whatever." meant that I was practically powerless to even voice an opinion on the issue. As a result, FA:S is operating without official support from the WaW Team. We cannot officially claim that it is the sequel to FA. Nor can we claim that x^18 and Issa are the official heirs to the Firearms HL1 team. Due to the FA-related discourse that has existed outside of the WaW realm in the past year, we cannot explicitly support the team. But let me tell you this... they sure as heck have our "amiable approval." If I were able to choose or appoint successors to Firearms' legacy, I'd have chosen these two guys. Not only are x^18 and Issa talented, but they're good guys. (I should know. I tried to hire them for WaW on several occasions.) My WaW Team and I have often been criticized for not turning over FA to a dedicated group willing to Source it. The irony is that now that there is a team that I'd be willing to do that for... I can't. Having been approached by these guys and seen what they're capable of, I just wish that this had happened a year ago, as I would've gladly turned FA over to them (after some understandable grumbling about "whippersnappers" and such.) Furthermore, x^18 and Issa understand my precarious position and are eager to operate independently from WaW. But with a wink and a nod, we can all look at the main page and see how my fellow WaW team members have chipped in for this effort. Everyone feels good about this, and we wish the FA:S team luck. In closing, I must restate that the Firearms name is no longer mine to give. Nor is it Ben's. However, my team and I were greatly pleased by having our approval actively sought by x^18 and Issa, people who valued our input and our history. Barring FA:S update #2 consisting of them drowning puppies, they seem to be worthy people. Were it within my power to pick successors for FA, I'd pick them.

i can run HL2 DoDs css and BF2 great but i cant get 2142 battelfield to work still gives me errors:( i did had a geforceFX 5600 256MB and run good on hl1 mods and not to good on hl2 lags i am saving it just in case somthing goes wrong i got it 3 years ago was $279 and if theres any updates patches Let me know on this ATI X1600XT think i have a Good ATI? i got it for christmas lol
