Posted December 8, 200816 yr Hi. So it's been a very long time since I posted here, but I was studying and The Armory came into my head for some reason so I decided to wander over to the site and say hello. It says the last time I was here was over a year ago, and that I joined in March 2003, and I just can't believe it's been so long since I started talking to you folks (and that was even before the big forum change or whatever that made us all get these new accounts, so really, its been longer than March 2003). I would have been 13 maybe 14 at that time... wow. So what is new? Anyone still here that I'd know? I'd be lying if I said that I don't miss gaming with you guys, but I can't really play games and school at the same time, so I decided that school would be a better choice (I'm at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada for civil engineering with a specialization in water/environmental engineering). Anyways I'll keep checking this thread to see whats going on, and I'd love to hear from you guys. -Greg aka TheSock.
December 8, 200816 yr hey sock, good to see you again ,of course your still remembered. But the people here that are still members that could remember you are alot smaller:( take it easy, and best of luck to you in your schooling.
December 9, 200816 yr Author Good to see that there's still so many familiar people here! Ripper, what are you thinking of taking? You live in Ancaster right? That's so close to Mac, I actually had to go there for an assignment this year. Obviously my opinion is a little biased, but Mac is such a great school, I absolutely love it here. What games does TA play now? Maybe over the break I could join in for some action.
December 9, 200816 yr yup ancasturr. full of snotty kids pretty much haha. uhh i wanted to take computer engineering, but i might just go to mohawk and try to transfer to mac afterwards. not sure how that all works out though.. i have some planning to do >_<

December 11, 200816 yr Hi WSAENOTSOCK, nice to see you're back! I play BF2, BF2142, old FA, testing FA:S and FS2004 under IVAO team ATC and Pilots... You will be a civil engineering with a specialization in water/environmental engineering? But you fish yet everytime? Egidio.

I dunno how that system works, I do know a couple people who have gone the other way though. If you're interested in computer engineering, just remember that it's a common first year engineering program before you specialize.. for example, I only had one class that was computer-related (and I hated it.. lol. But that is me. I know lots of guys in computer and software eng and they enjoyed it.) Hi WSAENOTSOCK, nice to see you're back! I play BF2, BF2142, old FA, testing FA:S and FS2004 under IVAO team ATC and Pilots... You will be a civil engineering with a specialization in water/environmental engineering? But you fish yet everytime? Egidio. Haha.. yep, I still love fishing. Although environmental engineering isn't stuff like GREENPEACE for example, but rather.. (from wikipedia) Environmental "civil" engineers focus on hydrology, water resources management and water treatment plant design. So I'm the guy that makes sure that you're tap water is safe to drink and that you have enough of it, not the guy telling you that the world is about to end because of global warming.
December 14, 200816 yr yeah i know like 7 guys that took comp engineering at mac. i remember one friend telling me how they had to do like free-hand drawings and other general crap like that.. didn't really impress me tbh haha. i didn't bother taking a grade 12 science course (hated grade 11 physics and got a 68), so i won't be able to get into engineering at mac anyways. i'll probably be better off just goin to mohawk or somethin.. :/
December 14, 200816 yr Dude look its that guy with the funny name to match that error that FA used to show you as havin! nice to see you Socky been a bit...
