September 14, 200322 yr dear Lord... please tell me you're exxagerating... please.... as the post above me probaly explains, I'm not...
September 14, 200322 yr I can keep mouth closed until admin gets on. Problem is, others probably wont. thats right, thats VERY right. which is why at the start of this i said that if someone crys about "this or that" tell them its the admins call to make, and if there isn't an admin present then explain to them you cant do anything about it. also as gator pointed out if they continue to whine about it jyst ask them to leave. and if they dont, oh well, let them selfs get more and more pissed off about it, doesn't hurt us.
September 15, 200322 yr wow. ragging on a kid for the way norm acts is one thing... but a 40-year old acting like this... that's just sad..
September 15, 200322 yr Ok guys chill...I will give limited view on this topic.....1. Exploits that I don't agree with are the ones that require a lot of extra skill just to get on top of something (cough.. kliffy I still love ya.. cough) while I don't scream and jump up and down about it I don't use them and don't agree with them. As for what should be banable I have seen only a slight few that I would take serious action against. Most have to do with getting up on mountains where you can shoot across the map without being detected and thus making a major difference in the out come of the game. As for the hill on Golan I found this and was able to do it with as little skill as I have and don't think it makes the advantage to great so I don't think it qualifies by any means. The ones that gripes me has been mentioned but has been ruled on by higher members is the tank gun on rubble. True it can be defeated with preemptive action, but I usually just leave when it happens if I am on the blue team. The reason is this has been ruled legal. All and all I think we are doing a good job of keeping the even balance for everyone to have fun. When we see an exploit that made a major problem one of the admins usually bring it up in admin chat and we come to a unified conclusion. Again these should be taken on a case by case basis. One thing to remember is we are all playing for FUN! If you are playing a match then I say it should be looked at a little closer.
September 15, 200322 yr I think You are wrong, StateCop. You are forgetting one thing. no matter how good you are, no matter, what connection and computer you have, you wont be able to be better than game permits you (unless you hax of course). In the light of this, you cant say: ones that require a lot of extra skill just to get on top of something It is not the matter of skill, just the engine and practice.
September 15, 200322 yr well I didnt mean skill in the literal since.....I guess I should have said "skill" (notice the " ") as it refers to people who as you say practice those things and feel they are "good" at exploitiong which they equate to "skill".Thanks for pointing that out to me...I should have articulated myself better. I agree with your meaning and was thinking that but wasnt clear in my writing. (it made since in my head...lol)Hope that clears up my meaning.....
September 15, 200322 yr -StateCop]1. Exploits that I don't agree with are the ones that require a lot of extra skill just to get on top of something (cough.. kliffy I still love ya.. cough) you love my madd jumping skillz. (which, by the way, take no effort, only knowhow. that's why I believe they should be allowed (and are, in most servers!), because anyone at all can do them)
September 22, 200322 yr There are chokepoints in maps that don't allow for proper retaliation. Does that count as an exploit? This really needs to be worked out. Whatever the outcome, I don't care. I can exploit or I can play fair. Doesn't really bother me. I just don't want to play fair and have some little noobit exploiting.
