just to see how every one is doing
OMG...we spend so much time on Titan mode, policing the server for stat padders and reactor wall glitchers it's ridiculous. I can't shoot a Titan gun anymore without hearing the resupply padding...which means I have to find the offending supply box and shoot it then look to see who puts another one down so I can kick them. The transport exploit has exploded. Tards on the Titan guns TKing you trying to cap bases below...tossing random grenades down halls...it can really get frustrating.

ARMORY vs VSF Night
SJ...I'll copy your posts over to the "Abuse" forum at VSFgamers.com and request your ban be lifted. Just keep your brother off our server if he can't follow our rules. Edit: Did the above and AngryKid replied that he checked the ban list and "{SJ}_Loser" was not on it.

ARMORY vs VSF Night
For us, it's just for fun. VSF isn't a clan, we're a "gaming community"; however, we have no objections to laying waste to clans.

ARMORY vs VSF Night
I think the number of people is TBD as is the map size and rotation. I believe we can get enough people there to do 32 player maps, which we've run at 40 players many, many times before. Does that sound good?

ARMORY vs VSF Night
Any map preferences? I know impact200 would love air maps. Personally, I have an affinity for Mashtuur City and Sharqi. Also, team swap in between rounds so each team gets to play the map from both sides?

Armory Server Name...
...is now "Default Server Name". Couldn't find it searching for "Armory" so put in the IP address and found it. Surely the men and women of =A= can come up with something more creative that that!

First Impressions
I had one crash to desktop while playing on the VSF server...I'm not sure what happened but the problem seemed to be local. It wasn't one of the CTDs I got frequently on 1.3 when hitting the "Join Game" button. Didn't see the tag bug in 5 rounds but I could go weeks not seeing it in previous patches and then see it frequently. Too early to make a call on this one, especially given EA/DICE's inability to fix this since the demo came out. Played a couple of rounds of Jalalabad. It was pretty good. Certainly not a "Wow" map...there are many maps on Vanilla, SF and PoE2 that I like better. On the Gator hacks...if it weren't for Gator generously stopping my bullets last night I don't think I'd have gotten any kills.

The Armory PoE2 server?
I'd love to see The Armory clan host a PoE2 server. The mod is a lot of fun...especially the Fallen map. I'd be there.

Hope this isn't true....
The post is a fake. Pay no heed.

Teamswitching
Hey Joe, I had the "private" bug last night and was teamswitched by our server 4 times in 1 round. Every time I was in a squad and twice I was squad leader. All together I was switched between teams about a dozen times over several rounds. Oh, and throw in two server crashes and two computer crashes - it was VERY frustrating!

Teamswitching
Is there a policy, rule or even a guideline within the Armory clan regarding switching teams? Just curious. Thanks.

Smash on a roll!
No problem Butler (like the sig by the way!)...usually I don't mind playing on a sucky team as long as I can find a few familiar faces to run with in a squad. But when they're all strangers AND crappy...there's no fun to be had for me.

Smash on a roll!
Smash is an infantry killing machine. Good round. On sharp's comment, it's the getting "teams of equal strength" that is the catch. I joined the Armory server a couple of times yesterday. Had some good games early on. Came back later and joined and the teams were grossly imbalanced. I commented on Vent that the teams were imbalanced and I got "the teams are just fine" so I left and played somewhere else. No need in getting frustrated.

WARNING: Rant, may not be entirely logical.
I feel the OP's pain. Of my 700+ hours, 95% of it is on the ground. I've recently taken up flying and gotten my aviator K/D ratio up from .5 to 2.4. The J-10 is DEFINITELY the superior jet in the game and the USMC F35 is the worst jet in the game. Air to Air missles will track the F35B regardless of what it does to try to shake them. The J-10 on the other hand can shake missles AND it takes less damage than the other jets. A2A missles have even been known to bounce off the J-10s. In the TotalBF2 forums, there's a nice jet comparison that shows, among other things, the "hit boxes" of each jet. The hit box on the back of the F35 is HUGE...the hit box on the J-10 is small. On surface to air sites, it's best to not get into the site until after the a jet has gone by. Trying to shoot a jet bearing down on you will almost always result in your death. From a pilot's perspective, I'm flying around in bomb mode looking for the green triangles that identify enemy vehicles and manned AA sites. If I don't see the green triangle, I probably won't drop bombs.

Thumbs Up on New SF Rotation
Personally, I believe SF now attracts the better players in the BF2 game, i.e., those that aren't put off or intimidated by having to learn something new. Also, when you look at the SF server situation as a whole, there aren't many 64 player SF servers out there that aren't playing just 24/7 Warlord or Ghost Town. I think you guys have hit on a sweet combination of the popular day maps and balanced night maps.

Thumbs Up on New SF Rotation
Played several hours last night and really enjoyed the return to SF *and* the addition of both "Night Flight" and "Devil's Perch" to the standard map rotation. I was encouraged to see the player count remain high when the night maps came around.

Special Forces???
We had the same experience on the VSF server when we integrated Vanilla and EF maps. Obviously, not everyone buys the booster packs - when a booster map comes up, those that don't have it automatically get booted. The EF maps had to go!

Armored Fury
I like Great Wall too. It's the one map in EF that has originality. Fighting on the wall is lots of fun too. It's the saving grace for EF IMO.

Armored Fury
Played AF with snc8698 and a couple other VSF guys last night...it was a lot of fun and well worth the $10. The maps are soooo much better than the EF maps. New terrain, new layouts, new sounds - it's the booster pack I was hoping to see with EF. I'd love to see you guys running AF on the =A= server so I wouldn't have to take my chances on random pub servers.

Stats
If one believes the rumored changes to awards coming out with the 1.3 patch, the IAR requirements for veteran and expert knife badges will go away, which means you'll only need 50 total knife kills to get veteran and 100 total knife kills to get Expert.

Stats
Repair points work the same a medic heal points, i.e., one has to repair/heal 100 hit points to get 1 repair/heal point. For example, if someone is down to 25% health and I drop a medic bag for them I've gotten 75 hit points of healing. I run across another guy that is 50% damaged and drop a pack for him. I get 1 heal point and 25 hit points worth of healing towards my next heal point. The best way to get your basic engineer repair badge is to go on Mashtuur City, Songhua Stalemate, Warlord or any other map where Commander assets are routinely destroyed and repair them. While you're waiting for them to be blown, get in a FAV/DPV/jeep/ATV (something manuverable) and drive near armor to heal them. Also, you do not have to use your wrench to repair. Being in a vehicle in close proximity to any other vehicle/equipment damaged is all that is required. You might also remember this if you're an engineer in a tank/APC and happen upon a blown bridge. Just sit there in your armor a few seconds and the bridge will repair. I don't know how many times I've seen guys get out of their tank and lay in the open on the bridge to repair it.

Newbie, here.
From the snopes.com Urban Legend web site: "Not only did Fred Rogers never serve in the military, there are no gaps in his career when he could conceivably have served in the military, he went straight into college after high school, he moved directly into TV work after graduating college, and his breaks from television work were devoted to attending the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (he was ordained as a Presbyterian minister in 1963) and the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Child Development. Moreover, Fred Rogers was born in 1928 and was therefore too old to have enlisted in the armed services by the time of America's military involvement in Vietnam." Chuck Norris still rules!

4/25 good games
Sink, are you sure that wasn't Pope? Constant stream of squeals and squeeks sounds just like him! On the lag, perhaps it was due to them loading up the 64 player SF maps for the first time or since the last patch? I know I sometimes get lag in those circumstances.
