Personally, I don't have Vietnam but I know others do. Also,there is a pretty large contingent in VSF that loves the Desert Combat mod. Quite a few have been playing the PoE2 mod. I LOVE SF as does DingChavez but we're in the minority. I can ask around and see if there's interest in either Vietnam or SF.

I'm not a clan member but you guys know I've played on your server for almost a year as an alternate to the VSF server. SF is what led me to Armory and I sure do miss playing Warlord, Ghost Town, Mass Destruction and Devil's Perch. If you put it up, I'll be there.

As I recall, the away bonus is applicable when a player has been away from the game MORE hours than their total hours played. For example, I was off for about 10 days recently or 240 hours. My total time in game is roughly 100 hours so when I started playing again I got the away bonus. As for how much it is, there's a calc in the game that shows it to be 50% of your game score (not career points). Additionally, DICE posted the following: Greetings soldiers, We hope you all have had great winter holidays and wish you all the best for the new year! As your soldier has rested and regained strength during Christmas, you will find that as of January 5 you will have additional away bonus, corresponding to a weeks rest. This means that you will have a score boost lasting for a few hours the next time that you play Battlefield 2142. The away bonus is added to all soldier accounts, independent of how much you have played the game during the holidays. Welcome back to the battlefield! It just boggles my mind that players are so score focused that they spend time and energy worrying about a -4 or -6 score here and there. Have fun...play the game. :thumbsup:

You are absolutely, 100% wrong. It has been proven time and time again that players DO NOT LOSE POINTS for a punish. The points lost are for the team kill and team damage. There are no additional points lost if a player chooses to punish. To me, the whining about punishes is as irritating as the players who whine about being TK'd.

It depends on what you're looking for. To me, #1 looks sporty...#2 looks like they're for a pimp car.

Was it on or off for the VSF versus Armory match?

Whoever said the change was made to prevent offensive mining either slipped or were confused. FF on/off has always been about defensive mine placement. I honestly don't know what the fuss is about on APMs. Most are so sloppily placed whether they're friendly/enemy that one can simple see them and crawl around them or diffuse them. I play on servers with FF ON and OFF and it doesn't bother me much either way except I find the quality of play to be higher on the FF ON servers.

I have always like FF on because it makes for a "smarter" game. By that I mean those using the APMs, roller mines have to consider their own team when placing versus just tossing them out like candy to get cheap kills. It does open up the maps for more flag caps and movement IMO.

Alright...we have agreed to Saturday 1/6, Armory to host, two rounds conquest, two rounds titan with team switch in between rounds and most importantly, this is for FUN. If you're coming to be all serious and get mad if you get shanked 4 times or run over, etc., stay home. No whining/complaining. Still needed: Map preferences - Personally, for conquest I'd recommend a fairly even map. I think Belgrade and Tunis Harbor are the most balanced. What do you guys think? For Titan mode, I don't play it much so don't really have any recommendations. What do you guys think? Number of players - TBD. I'll see if I can push this along on the VSF side. Time - TBD. 8, 9, 10 pm Central? Too late? Too early? Groundrules - IMO, exploits should be a no-no. No wall glitching, pod flying...stuff of that nature. Suicide RDX (airships/ground vehicles) - OK, not OK? Bunny-hopping? I don't know if the crouch-prone spamming hax works in 2142 like it did for BF2. Anything else? Questions: Can it be set up so we can do the spectator mode? I think this requires the server to be unranked but I'm not sure. Will it be recorded? You guys run the Battlerecorder on your server, correct?

Hey guys. I'm out of town and my computer is dead anyway so I won't be playing if it's anytime in the near future. Regardless, based on our prior BF2 engagement, I'd suggest that some groundrules be set ahead of time. As I recall, you guys didn't care much for the suicide C4 tactic (as an example). So any tactics that are "off limits" should be specified. Armory also had an advantage on numbers of players so the player count should be agreed to as well. AFAIK, AngryAM's Commodore computer won't even play Titan mode so I'm assuming he wants to play the City Maps.

It sounds like you guys are against randomizing the teams which I believe is GOOD. Sure, teams get stacked but as Eaglez said, it will balance itself out given time. VSF did randomizing on our BF2 server in an attempt to address having one team dominate the other and I hated it with a passion. I play the game primarily to squad with other team-oriented players that I know to have fun. Randomizing the teams makes that nearly impossible. I think the better answer, if the teams are too imbalanced too long, is to ask on Vent that some folks move to the other side.

Nice work guys. i like them all but do especially like Klink's with the defib and med hum. Actually, the "l" after the "J" is a small letter "L" for my middle initial but perhaps the caps look better? What do you all think?

Hey gents and ladies, You all do amazing work on sig creation so I was hoping someone could come up with one for me. As for ideas/focus, I am a team-oriented player and enjoy playing Medic the most. I value heals/revives as much (or more) than kills so something with the defib/medic hub/first aid cross would be good. Thanks.

Go Auburn Tigers! Beat both Florida and LSU. :thumbsup: On Michigan being robbed...puhleeze. They had their shot and they lost. Say they did play OSU again and won. What then? Michigan as national champs? It wouldn't be fair to OSU. Seems like a best of three would be in order. And I heard all this talk about Michigan's defense but it didn't show up against OSU. Florida's defense will fair a lot better against OSU and their offense can score from anywhere on the field. Go SEC! Go Gators!

I crashed the first time at the end of a Titan round on the VSF server. Haven't tried it on any other server yet.

That person will never collect the money. The big problem with these auctions is fraud bidders put those ridiculous bids in and never pay so the seller is stuck putting it back up for auction again. I don't really feel sorry for them though...it's the ebay sellers lining up at the stores that eat up the supply and drive up demand.
