  1. So after Sandy brushes the southeast coast it has set its eyes on the northeast for a direct impact in the southern Jersey shore. Although this storm is not going directly impact our area this storm has an incredible tropical storm force wind field of 500 miles from the center. We are currently under a high wind warning for forecast wind gusts of up to and possibly exceeding 70mph. Governor Andrew Cuomo has put the entire state under a state of emergency and has activated the National Guard for emergency response. The last two days have been hell at work everyone buying everything our shelves are bare and the warehouses are unable to respond quick enough. Most New Yorker's haven't experienced a hurricane before or any storm like this before. So naturally most of them panicked which is why every grocery store pretty much has nothing left. I on the other hand have experienced storms similiar to this and am prepared to go without power for a long period time. The timeline for the impacts of our area are as follows: Afternoon: Wind start to increase out of the northeast to 20-30mph Tonight to Tuesday morning: Winds sustained 35-45mph with gusts to 70+ Tuesday winds begin to slacken to 25-35mph with gusts to 50mph. What this means for my area is power outages are likely with widespread damage. Me and the family are prepared we purchased water and ice we have a natural gas stove and also have a propane tank. We have been without power for up to two weeks before in the heart of winter during the Ice Storm in 1995 when we lived in TN. So if you don't hear from me its because I have no power and could be without for a long period of time due to the large area of potential damage. I have my phone and should be able to keep ya up to date in facebook and the forums considering we don't lose cell service. So to all of my fellow northeasters out there get ready to hunker down cause its gonna get bad.
  2. Glad to see ya around again Bravo don't be a stranger now ya hear!
  3. So the game has been out for less than a day. What are your thoughts about it do you like it or hate it? I'll start. I actually enjoy this game very much hit registration leaves something to be desired though. Is it as good as bf3 kinda hard to say on that one. MOHW has a CoD feel to it but without the typical CoD bullshit. I wasn't expecting to be blown away by the multiplayer but it is quite obvious that it needs work. VOIP needs to be seriously tuned up you can barely hear anyone while in game with it even after dropping some of the background noise down. Weapons feel quite realistic in terms of recoil but still can't understand why some people keep them accurate with all of that muzzle climb. Maps are kinda small I hope that we get some somewhat larger maps but not too big to take away from the urban style combat. The amount of bugs in the game doesn't seem to be much at least as of yet until they start patching it to hell. All in all it is a great game but will probably get old kinda quick.
