So how's everyone doing looks like Armory is doing well. Anyways just thought I stop in and say hi. Things are going well for the most part getting tired of Walmart got about another year left in school then I can say goodbye to retail. Still really big into MMOs currently playing one called Blade and Soul eats up a lot of time but is quite fun. As for me and shooters not sure I will ever really get back into them. Myths about cheaters
My eyes hurt after that one lol. Cheaters will always cheat and this is their goal to get everyone to start cheating because you won't be able to tell a cheater apart from a regular player anymore. This is the problem with FPS now and one of the reasons why I don't play hardcore like I used to. No cheater is going to blatantly cheat where it will be easy to find so we speculate and issue unwarranted bans. It's easy to get around GUID and IP addresses with key generators and other easy to find tools on the internet. It's easy to find a tool that will scan the memory addresses and allow you to edit them to have what you want. The cheating will never stop and the detection methods at this point in time are a waste of system resources because they don't work. The only way to really prevent it is set up a system like MMOs have where all and I mean all of your character information is saved on a server. Problem is the bandwidth required to do that with an FPS is obscene. But Ding you just said MMOs are already doing it. While this is true MMOs use a cache method where it sits in the main server memory before it is committed to disk on the server. During that idle time between caches the information you can edit it but in theory you would be hacking the main server and that is much harder than trying to hack an .exe memory addresses. So you want to fix hacking in FPS in theory you can do it a few ways actually: Require the client to have a piece of hardware not software installed on the line to scan the outgoing information to the server. This hardware will be required to play the game and if you hack in any way it bans your MAC address. That's right MAC address not that easy to modify IP address. All NICs have a MAC address granted there is a way around it and that would be to buy a new NIC and you could try to change the MAC address. Hardware banning I think it is called but is not perfected. Second method is get lots of money and setup FPS like an MMO problem is you would have to cache constantly ie Tick rate as we have heard before. All these methods suggested there are ways around it but it gets much harder and would alleviate the frequency of hackers if you make them pay out the ass for it. Cheaters are out there to make money by advertising their hacks its a multi-million dollar business and is only going to continue to grow. This is also why games like BF are no longer modifiable to make mods because it made it easier to hack the game.

Windows 10 how are you liking it and problems
So far I have to say I'm enjoying Windows 10 looks a bit like iOS looks like MS is taking Apple head on now. As for problems I have a friend that is having issues booting into Win 10 after upgrading and at the login screen they have artifacts all over the screen. Note the card is a 690 that has SLI natively installed and can't really be turned off. This card did not artifact before the upgrade and can confirm its not the card. Is there anyone here that has an SLI setup in Windows 10 that is having problems? I have read reports that 353.62 did not fix that this problem even though it was stated it did. We knew Win 10 would have some hiccups but this one is game breaking as you can't login lol.

Intel, Micron debut 3D XPoint storage technology 1,000x faster than current SSDs
Now we just need the SATA controllers to handle that type of speed technology is really jumping lately by a lot as well. Not even PCIe bandwidth would be able to handle that much. :signs8:

My GFX cards are dying
That is a picture of Final Fantasy 13 hard to tell though lol.

My GFX cards are dying
Well the deed is done and the little 960 performs far better than the 580s ever could I may hold off on getting a Ti for the time being. It handles Witcher 3 at 60 fps compared to the 35-40 fps I was getting with the two 580s.
-
My GFX cards are dying
These cards are liquid cooled and stay around 50C under full load my guess is their age has caught up.
-
My GFX cards are dying
They only seem to be doing it under heavy gaming loads either they will crash or do that. I've been meaning to upgrade these cards for a while now since they can't handle the newer games. Things just got moved up ahead of schedule was going to wait for the next generation of Nvidia to come out but I guess not lol.

My GFX cards are dying
After from what seems like forever my two Nvidia GTX 580s are dying. Frames keep crashing in games and the artifacting has begun after doing research this seems to be memory artifacts. It was a good run while the lasted but its time to move up to better things. I have ordered a GTX 960 from MSI which will act as my main card until I can get the 980 Ti from MSI. I will use the two cards as the 980Ti will be my primary for heavy gaming and the 960 will be a supplementary card for driving the extra monitors, hd audio, and physx. Now while this does seem like a lot of unnecessary power I do plan to upgrade to 4k UHD in the future. Below is the example of what is happening a bit more frequently now.

New DLC maps
There are a few reasons why this game isn't doing well: Developers have not really listened to the players. It's cops and robbers not battlefield really. You have games like GTA they can easily fulfill Hardline's spot. The game is really a reskin of BF4 no matter how much they deny it. If you follow all the games that aren't developed by DICE ie MoH for example they just don't seem to last although MoH did last fairly long. Hardline is extremely unbalanced in just about everything. The Hotwire game mode although new and cool is heavily unbalanced. The spawn system quite frankly is retarded. These are everything that my friends have told me that have played the game. So in other words Matimio is right weapon balance, mode balancing, and spawning are really hurting the game. Just my opinion really I didn't get it because it just didn't seem like BF to me.

New monitor for me !!!

New monitor for me !!!
Danny you could do SLI depends how cheap you can get another 760 for. Though I would seriously look at the newer cards as they can handle 4k (well a handful of them) and that resolution wouldn't be a problem. Your PSU would be more than enough to handle another card but I would seriously look at a new card the 9 series easily blow away what you have and what I have. I've got 2 580s in SLI and they are reaching their limit but I'm waiting for another dual GPU card to come out.

New monitor for me !!!
You may have to scale back your settings in BF4 though to handle that higher resolution if you don't have to then you are lucky.

New monitor for me !!!
I would be a bit concerned about your GPU I think it can handle it but that particular resolution is not common in games. You will definitely have to scale back your settings a bit to handle the larger resolution in your games. Danny make sure you use Display Port not HDMI for this monitor also make sure your GTX 760 supports display port as well which I'm sure it does. Danny from what I've read its not recommended you will probably need a second one or go for a new 9 series it's recommended that you get at least 3GB of VRAM. I'm even hearing the 780Ti has problems running this resolution you will probably be looking at a new card you can always try it first but your fps is gonna suffer.

New monitor for me !!!
Danny you fell for one of those curved displays Hope it works good for ya
