  1. I have an Atari 2600 and on the lowest settings I get about 39947260 frames per second. TAKE THAT
  2. Y'all that use none are going to put ideas in the others' heads! If you do not know exactly what you are doing at exactly every moment, please use an Anti-Virus and Spyware program.
  3. That's exactly what I do. (Well, what I did, before running everything first through a mixer. but the idea remains!)

Silent Dark? Maybe I must've missed that one. Which was it?
  5. For now, steveO, it doesn't mean anything. Life will continue as normal for a while. There may, in the future, be a heavier load of MTV/Viacom advertisements on Xfire, but I doubt they would drastically change Xfire to the point that it scares away its users. So don't worry! --- (emphasis mine) Maybe I've just watched too much West Wing lately, but the wording at the end of this quote scares me. A Bull's-Eye against the user? Ouch, man!

I'm a big fan of Empires and Sourceforts (and, of course, CS:S and DoD:S), but sourceforts seems to have become stagnant. The problem, I'd say, is that there are so many semi-similar mods out there competing with each other that no mod-team is complete. You need coders and modelers, artists and engineers, testers and tweakers. You need a solid team to build a game. But with so many mods -- well, the teams are incomplete! They'll still get there, but it will take more time. On top of that, players generally want to be where other players are. It takes a flock -- nay, a gaggle of flocks -- of early-adopters to bring the rest of the players to a mod. None of the current mods are as widely-appealing as they need to be to bring in people to them. I suggest you download every mod out there and test them well. Switch it up a little -- start with a popular mod, and then try one nobody knows. Find one or four that, although maybe incomplete as a game, has that hook to it. That oomph. That hooZAW! that makes you want to come back to it over and over. I can't tell you which will do that -- it's all about taste. And then get involved in the community! Find the forums, make yourself known, offer to volunteer your talents, whatever they may be. If you believe in the mod, and if the mod-team believes in the mod, then help the community grow! And then the rest of the world will follow. (hooZAW!)

  17. And as a quick follow-up: I did a google search, and found what appears to be a fellow who agrees with me. Jason Garfield, days after the original video came out, created a parody-video of sorts, showing what Chriss Bliss's video -should- have looked like.

  19. Actually, speaking as a Juggling enthusiast, he's really not all that good. Or, rather, if he -is- good at juggling, he doesn't show it in this clip. Say he's a good choreographer, and while I'd still disagree, I'll let you have that one. But not a juggler. He does the same four or five tricks over and over, sometimes with slight variations, usually exactly as he'd done them before. He's sloppy with his throws, his catches, pretty much everything. While it may be entertaining (possibly because of a sentiment you have for the song, possibly for other reasons), it is not "great juggling". And I guarantee you it should not take "years of practice" to do that.
