Although I wouldn't call it "success", I am playing -- and winning! -- with my piddly system. Turned down a bunch of crap, getting 20fps, but playing nonetheless!

Yeah, she didn't like it because it was "jumpy". But once Steam completely fixes all the new-ness and bugs, she might take a liking. (Although hopefully she spelled my name right! Chicks!)

Yes! and the same for any pistol-less class. Get a class with a pistol, drop the primary for what you really want!

You mentioned that BF2 has smaller servers. I'm saying I prefer to play with people I know -- and all the people I know are TAC'cers playing on the TAC server. Mine is apparently so bad that BF2 won't even load on it. Geforce MX 4 for the lose. Mac, Thirty-Five dollars for a graphics card plus fifty for the game equals no groceries for two weeks. Priorities dissallow my computer-upgrading needs.

BF2 won't run on lower-end graphics cards. Vehicles make being an Infantriman unneccesarily tough to play. Sixteen-player servers are not my TA friends.

I'm an absolute retard, and my Woman's an absolute genius. She's all "Just make a new Steam Account and use Hogan's Key. If you get caught, it won't affect the HL2 account." and I'm all "Wait a second! I -have- another account. Yes, and it still has HL1 attached to it! What a retard!" So I just signed in under my old oldschool name, and HOORAY. Kliffy back.

There are two possible reasons, p-sus. One is that I was recently banned from YIS. The more likely, given Steam's response to my inquiry, is that because I bought my game of a less-than-homourable friend, my cd-key has apparently been used elsewhere. Because I cannot provide a digital photo of the cd-key itself, I am screwed. Alas. That's allright. KW bought a new HL2 (she's addicted, I swear!). I've been given a HL1 cd-key, but I'm a little worried about using it. It has been used before, and is therefore connected to another steam account. I do trust that it will never be used again, but I'm worried Steam won't like it, and will again disable my account. What do you boys think?

Has anyone a legitimate, unused, extra Half-Life 1 CD-Key I can have? If you haven't been keeping up on the WaW forums, my original Steam Account has been 'disabled', and there is nothing I can do to get it back. My woman has bought HL2, but it doesn't come with HL1 stuff. So, before I go spend ten bucks, I wonder if any of you have an extra key laying around? PM or reply within.

You silly. Use irfanview, save as .gif, select transparency colour "during saving", and fin. Because the transparency colour was white, the attached picture may have some inadvertent transparent bits. If it does, change that white block to some colour not in the picture anywhere, and reupload it for me, then I'll change it to transparent for you. Merry Feliz Happy Christmadad.
