  1. Yesterday the whole call to go to work while at work thing, along with the headset thing. I've been awake for 36 hours, and whilst I was unpacking the truck to put my stuff onto the boat very early this morning, I dropped my computer bag, it just fell out of the truck. So no big deal, I feel the edge of my bag, it has padding. Well I just went to turn it on, nothing. Well not exactly nothing, I can see the faintest whisper of the word "Windows". Well I figure the back light got broken since I can still see stuff on the screen. This is of course if there is no glare and I put my face really close to the screen, and then you can only see white things. These white things show up as lesser shade of black. I'm so bummed. It's been a while since I've had a bad few days like this. I didn't realize how lucky I was until I was no longer lucky. Strangely enough there was an article on how to change a laptop monitor in one of this month's computer magazines I subscribe to. Does anyone get computer magazines, could you tell me which magazine it is that the article is in? I also need the website address of the place where they ordered their replacement screen, I would like to have the screen waiting for me when I get home so I can just swap it out and forget these past few days ever happened. Thanks.
  2. Some one told me to do the same thing, but left out some of the details. Hmmm.
  3. Yeah well I have my fingers crossed, this wouldn't be the first time I spent too much on a pair of headphones that blew. Razer, pfllllllt. If you want to try the Razer set give me a time and place, I will do a drive by headphoning.
  4. 5.1 surround? I have seen some virtual surround headphones there. I go there all the time. I didn't want to use usb head phones, cause what's the use of the spensive audio card when you use usb headphones. And I also didn't want to use more system resources on the usb audio vs. discrete audio. If you see the Razer 5.1 surround set there run the other way they are the suxor. Well I have my medusa's so I will give em a shot. For that price if they don't work I'll run over them and be happy with the descision. lol
  5. Thanks for your support.
  6. Sweet, thanks. Well Klinkster's fix fixed the load problems but then I could not change my resolution, weird. Well I did end up uninstalling, reinstalling the game. Thanks for the info, next time I know how to do it! Thanks SSpeaks.
  7. So I went to work to handle some business, then I went to BestBuy to get my new Blue G5, then to Conn's to get my Extreme 3D Pro joystick. So far it's a good moring dropped a c-note+, got out of the house drove around. I get home and I see a FedEx sticker on the door. It says that they dropped by at 11:50 to give me my package, well I wasn't home hence the sticker. When I look at my watch, it's 11:58. So I didn't get my headphones. Well I tell the wife and she says we'll just go pick them up after 18:00, as per the instructions on the door sticker. I then get called to work, twice, for 13:00 and 23:00, excellent communication skills between the four guys responsible for this stuff, who sit in the same room!! But I digress. I have to leave at 23:00 so I rush home to spend my last few hours on earth with my wife, leaving the headphones 1/4 of a mile from where I was, because it wasn't after 18:00, like the sticker said. I fight traffic to get home then realise that I need stuff before I leave to go to work. So I'm back on the road, frantic, wanting to be home, but needing to be on the road. Wifey says let's just go get the headphones, I love this woman. If we didn't get the headphones they would be sent back to Canadia in five days. I'm standing in line painfully consious of the time I'm wasting. I start to read the ticket left on the door, I see the "will be returned to Canadia in 5 days," then I see "shipper requested indirect signature." I'm standing line I get weak at the knees. I could have signed the thing, left it on my door and they would have left the package there this morning. I am furious at myself for wasting all this precious time. Well I now have the headphones I take them out of the box, with only a few hours left, they are smaller than I thought. Well I read the manual, pull out the rats nest of wires that came with, while wearing the headphone, lol. I didn't get to even plug the things in. Oh well, they'll be there wating for me when I get home. Bummer. I'm done.

Ok, do you think this would help? I will upload my whole folder where the ea link is installed. Will it work??
  9. Oh Klinky you are the man!!!!!!! Of course now I have to work and can't play anyway. Bummer.
  10. Can't find, or that file is not on my system. Is that the right file, I could not find any *.cdb files. I just want to play the damn game.
  11. The title says it all. Any given map only loads half-way rendering the game unplayable, the computer freezes and sometimes cannot be recovered.

I do. I uploaded them here. Click the link to download them. Of course you will need your Login and Password. I hope you remember them. http://www.bestsharing.com/files/ZuV1ly342285/ead-installer.exe.html the password to download the file is armory. It may or may not ask your for this. It may have to upgrade it's self. Good luck.

Speak of the devil, I just started EA link and it downloaded a new version. I was able to download all my patches and booster packs from 2142 and BF2. I just did this a few minutes before you posted this. Creepy.
  16. That's what I wanted to hear!! Can't wait! Want it now!!

  18. I am sponsoring ANGRYAFRICANMAN for the armory. lol Nice bio. :D
  19. I read something similar to that. Now the other networks are making their shows available for free download as well.
  20. Sweet I'm looking forward to it!!!
  21. Well I just bought 'em, $165. I sure hope they are worth it. I was torn between the Home and the Pro-gamer, I went with the home. Wish me luck. I'll let you know how they turn out when I get to try them.
  22. Cool, that's what I wanted to know. Thanks.
  23. I think then, that I want a pair. The Razer set I have stinks. The part I'm worried about is returning them if they too hurt my ears.
