since i'm at work and can't play, i was looking at serverspy.net. looks like the armory quake wars server is ranked #12! too bad the only person i see in there right now is tilgado.

damn that's pretty cheap. i may have to bite. i'm not as concerned about the cost. i'm more worried that i'll be sitting in front of the computer for an even longer amount of time trying to learn and play 4 new games!

not sure what happened. pretty full server, then it froze and it showed this ethernet cable with an exclamation point in the top right corner. then the server crashed. around 10:15 pm eastern. anyone wanna investigate?

Just go buy it! I never played the demo but I heard it's ok. i think shadowwolf played it before he bought it. i've never played any of the other quake series either. like anibis said, it's hard to figure out what to do at first but the learning curve is really steep. just get on when one of us is on and we'll tell you what to do. very team oriented. not everyone can just run assault like in 2142. lots of different objectives and stuff for all 5 different classes to do. you need a good mix and teamwork to win each game.

Is this for 2142 or COD4? I assumed it was 2142 because the site is 2142tournament.com but it looks like there is COD4 stuff on that site too.

that sucks phrogg. can i encourage you to try, try again?!? i did a complete uninstall, reinstalled 2142 then got the 1.25 patch here: http://www.gamershell.com/download_18825.shtml then i got the pro mod and put that in and so i can play league matches. then i got the 1.4 patch. before upgrading to 1.4, i made a copy of my battlefield 2142 folder and then upgraded. seems to work ok. not sure what else to try if that doesn't work.

Looks good. I agree with StateCop about putting the year on there. I looked at my old yearbooks and they had the years on there - although it was awhile ago. '93-'94 heh.
