Well thats nothing new with Flashpoint games, multiplay always has been pretty poor, and its a niche community of hardcore realism fans. Its hard for all the fast paced gamers that want instant gratification to play these simulation type games, no matter how good the graphics look. Always going to be best to play this kind of game on a LAN. Thats how the Military does it, for VBS and all that, OPflashpoint 1 was their main virtual simulation for years, modified of course but still at the core very much the same thing. Still going to buy this regardless of the reviews, always been a OPFP fan.

Hit reg is great now, or at least much better than it was in 1.41 Gameplay feels better for infantry servers, although still disappointed about how much grenade spam there is. AA may seem excessive, but only when you're on the receiving end of it, when you're on the ground it feels damn good to finally knock down some of those hotshit pilots. Booster packs and new maps are nice, but still most every server thats full is still just Karkand 24/7. Lots of nice new things, proning past claymores ect, but still lots of stuff untouched that needed fixing for a long time such as commander msg spam, and some of those little annoying things. I'd give it a 7/10 considering the crap we got fed with previous patches.

I dunno, tried playing this game for a while. It really has nothing going for it, besides being free. The graphics are extremely dated looking, almost pre HalfLife 1. Very few weapons to choose. The aiming and gun fights are really lack luster, and its just a spray n pray fest. And there are no special movements, such as sprint/prone. Not really worth the time guys, stick to Bf2 or Css, or even Combat Arms.

I'll be pondering waht species will be driving the vehicles powered by the oil left over from all the corpses of our civilization . And I hope the little green men appreciate all the hard work that went into making it.

I heard its a bug with EA's servers. Its happening in BF2 as well, servers all over are just randomly crashing, and sending all of the connected players straight to their desktops. EA is definitely responsible for it, but under what intentions or the actual cause of it all, is anyone's guess. It all started about a week prior to BF:BC going gold, and the announcement of a possible BF2 patch. Most of the people think its 1 of 2 things happening. 1. a new crash exploit that hackers are using to shutdown the BF2 and BF2142 servers, since it doesn't happen to every server at the exact same time. 2. EA is gearing up its servers to support BF:BC and its some how causing their BF2, and BF2142 servers to drop the Stats link and crash, or soemthing along those lines. Chances are, it has nothing to do with your PC or drivers.

Bf2 is definitely the better game, Bf2142 just feels... wrong, despite the very few things that are an improvement over BF2. If you liked Firearms Bf2 is the way to go, it has alot of the infantry feel of old FA, more so than Bf2142. BF2 still has a ton of players & servers too, and quite a few mods that are out as well. Imo, if EA was still developing and working on BF2 instead of trying to rake in the cash on other lame projects ( untill BF3 comes anyway ), it would still be #1 as far as I'm concerned. Cod-4 is pretty nice too, but has more of a CS feel to it I guess, and you need a pretty beefy computer to run it well.

Sp was far too short IMO.. They even recycled a couple maps during the campaign, that made me cry.

I just can't wait for the first few Drunk driving Hydrogen bomb accidents to happen... should make for some good video. Honestly though, as far as safety is concerned I'm sure they will do alot to ensure the protection of those tanks before its mass produced to sell to the consumer base.

Lesson #1 Don't buy anything online, where the end result leaves you with just an install on your hard drive. Lesson #2 Always buy things that you can physically own, such as a CD/DVD in a case that you can throw at sombody if they piss you off. Lesson #3 Move to USA, be hated, and pay less for games.

Money better spent on never allowing sombody uninvited into your home in the first place. Its called an alarm system. I'd love to know the %'s of Home Robberies and breakins though, I bet that the majority of them actually take place during the day, when the robbers know that you're at work and not at home gripping your shotgun ^^.

Its called a PC, we already have these... Dump the COnsoles IMO, and just offer a gaming OS isntead of all this other Console nonesense.

Yeah, we'll be adding prone and Bipods and a ton of other features after we get our first release out the door. Biggest obstacle to getting the prone stuff for the players in-game is getting sombody to do the animations for it, which isn't easy to come by. Mostly we're going for a as close to as possible 2.5 feel, with the gameplay improvements of some of the later RC's features as well. For the most part FAS is going to be straight up arcade like 2.5 was, instead of realism based like 2.6 and later releases were.

It clearyl has its little problems, but as far as Hl2 mods go I put this at #1 well above anything else out right now. What they've done with the gameplay mechanics, and all the cool things about aiming/damage = total win. Absolutely impressed.

Update for you guys, they're planning on a july 1st release because of a delay, it will be out Sunday er.. today Hope to see you guys around, been missing shooting all of you since TA closed the FA server.
