We were able to do it using the steam icon and choosing friends then join. However it was easier when the invite button worked in CoD-MW2. As I said earlier, this joining does not always work to begin with. Once you play a game, it doesn't lose the friend unless he signs off or uses the bathroom.

When I got the game up and running, my cousin and I played as a team. We are sitting in the same computer room and talk to each other as we play. We are not coordinated enough to play as a team, we just like to play the same game of Team DeathMatch. We got into a server right off and had no trouble with anything (except people killing us but that is normal.) the game ran like a champ and moved us in mid game when it needed to with no lost of anything. Now last Saturday after a steam update the game has problems. We have to join outside of the game as the invite button no longer works. After a half dozen tries, we finally got into a server with both of us intack. However it would throw us out or separate us for no good reason. Between the two Saturdays we went from amazement of how well it worked to "this thing is irritating". Is it just the sheer number of players or did they break the game with the steam update?

I ordered two copies of W7Pro when they were 50% off. Upgraded Vista Ultimate to W7Pro and still have another copy to use in the future.

Why not...of course I plan to definitely buy CoD6, already preordered.

Works for me. I don't put Beta software on my computer if I can help it. Too much can go wrong....

They spend all their time arguing about software piracy then they give us a reason to steal their game. Seems stupid to me......

Is there not a standard that says how many points you get for a kill? I have been on both types servers but do not understand how one server can give you 10 for a kill while others give you 5,000. Both are ranked servers, what gives?

I would rather they put out a patch one week after launch then ignore any problems that were not found in beta. Patches are a sign that the developer wants to put out a game that works.

The reason I left BF2 was because I was tired of being continually killed by jets and copters. If we had some way to shoot them down it would be different. It seems I am always on the side that has nobody that can fly so we die frequency. Whatever Gator wants to do is okay with me.

I thought that Vista was supposed to be almost as fast as XP in playing games with MODERN hardware. I have to stay on XP with a Pentium 4.

Okay I have downloaded the zip file. I have unzipped it to the BF2/Mods folder. However there is no setup or anything else. I have no icon on the desktop or anything else. What am I doing wrong?

Where else can you get the full mod? FilePlanet is difficult at best. I waited an half hour and then it blew up a third of the way done. I don't want to wait another 30 minutes to have it blow up again.

I am amazed that DICE can release a game for consoles but not for the PC. It seems they are afraid that piracy will run amok. I am all for game protection and copy protection just so I can play the game without jumping thru hoops. If they would design the protection to reward legal copies and punish the pirates then I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Require the original disk to be in the drive at start up. I am sure they can put characters on it that can not be duplicated at home. Seems they gave up on the PC.
