Not in the near future the electrics are so advanced today there is really no reason to go to gas. And if I had one that big I would be tempted to air lift the dog or daughter. -
After we can fly these well we are going to get good ones bit these will do for now and they are cheap to repair

no simulator cant be that bad. ill put some wide landing gear on it and from what i seen on youtube it can take some crashes and keep going
