I don't want to sound as a truth of last instance, but to clear this issue for myself I just spent 4 hours on testing different apperture sizes. As a test I used AquaMark3 www.aquamark3.com with average settings (cos this test REALLY can push your video system to the edge). The results were very simple: at least for AquaMark and my system changing AGP apperture size has no impact whatsoever. Even more, changing such parameters as memory speed (normal-turbo-ultra, etc) and memory latency time did not change test results. Test specs for those, who is interested: System: P4 1,6, 1G RAM, RADEON 9800 PRO 128M Aquamark settings: 1024x768x32, AA off, Aniso 4x, Detail: Very High. Apperture sizes 32, 64, 128, 256, 512. Test run 4 times for each size. All scores I got were between 24,5 and 26,5 without any visible pattern.

Actually I completely agree with you, Lurker This stuff CAN be revolutionary but it must PROVE this before I will spend my hard earned bucks to it.

After you did that download Stinger from McAfee for example http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ it kills Sasser Then you must patch your computer against future sassers and blasters. What OS do you have? You can use Windows autoupdate, install all critical patches. Remember, if you don't patch your comp it can be infected again. And when it is infected id becames the source of viruses itself.

I did. Some year ago played singleplayer game to the point where I got my own platoon to command. And then quit cos couldn't stand to see my men dying because of my inability to command them properly . Never tried online game tho.

www.hercules.com I can share my experiences with this, cos I bought Hercules 3D Prophet 9800 Pro two weeks ago. It clearly shows, that with so much raw power in your video card you can have weaker processor without concequences. Just one example. My system has P4 1400, 512 DDR ram and old videocard was GeForce2 Ti 400, all bought 2 years ago. When I tried to play Need For Speed Underground it just was not possible even with all graphics turned down to bottom. Now with new videocard I can turn all graphics to max, also turn all card 3D settings to max quality and game runs perfectly! So if you have to choose if to buy a faster processor or more powerful videocard, go for video.

Hey, if you have a cable modem you don't need to dial at all, it is permanent connection! I think you gave some inccorect answers to wizard. Or than again, IE is sometimes so stupid, that wants to dial anyway. Go to IE tools->internet connections->connections. Remove all dial up settings if they are there and and check "never dial a connection". If that will not help, push "setup" button on the same tab and run "New connection wizard". And there somewhere you must check "Connect using a broadband connection that is always on".

Did you run network installation wizard? If not- go to control panel->network connections and start network connection wizard. Answer questions and follow instructions. I think this will be enough.

How can you post anyway? Do you have home network with several computers and are others working normally?

It seems, that your network is not installed properly. What windows and internet connection do you have?
